Prayer request Boyfriend Relapse

My boyfriend has relapsed. He has struggled with alcohol for a couple of years now. I know all I can do is pray, because he won't go get help. I also pray the Lord gives me the discernment and strength to get through this. I was hesitant to post on here, but the more prayers, the better. Thank you for praying.

I am first praying for your health and safety. Second I pray your boyfriend finds his way out of addiction.

Because you use the word “Boyfriend “ I think
If you were my daughter we wouldn’t be praying we would be talking about your future. Then praying
What do you see in him ,where will he take you, imagining the best and worst scenarios.
I’m not saying he’s not redeemable , but I’ve seen what drunks to to their women over a lifetime.
If you used the word “husband” I’d be more concerned
Then If you where my daughter I wouldn’t be talking to you I’d be talking to him

Discernment and strength

Yes I noticed boyfriend and I have to say do you want a life with an alcoholic? I think not you are here for a reason I'd be asking myself that I don't want to sound harsh but sometimes we have to be and I don't mix words iv been through alot in my life and I'm talking to you through life experiences .
Where do you want to be in a years time I'd be asking myself and who with a boyfriend or a husband or a poly family that you be wanted loved and respected.

What is his Family Goal? Some people do really poorly when they don't have a goal in life, a path to follow, and encouragement. See if he has an ultimate goal, and short term goals.
Now, to be clear, I am talking about a House on a Hill. This is your retirement. The place you want to be at the end of your life. If he has one, then drinking gets in the way. But if he's meandering about, sad, tired, and sees no future, then he'll party, drink, and destroy himself. If he can find a good goal for his life, something that really gets him fired up, then he'll stop drinking and focus on it.

It took me the better part of a dozen tries to stay sober for any length of period. 5 years 3 months 14 days sober.

That said, a lot of people just can't do it or won't do it and there's always the possibility that 5 years resets for me at some point in the future too.
