Having Twins

Hi there,

I am not sure if this is where I should post this but thought I would give it a shot.

Yesterday I found out that I am having twins. This will be our 9th and 10th babies. We have had twins once before and it was a time when I had to take it easy to keep the babies in until term. So I am very excited but I am also realizing that my family is going to need help in the last few months before they come and the first few months after they come.

We are a homeschooling, homesteading family with a cow, goats, ducks, and pigeons. We don't have a ton of money but could provide room and board and teach the skills to anyone who might be interested. I realize this is a long shot but I believe that the Father can do miracles so we are seeking someone to help us for 6 months starting January.

Thank you for reading this!

Can't help ourselves sadly (we're a little further away still), but I would encourage you to pray and trust God will provide. We have seen that very recently ourselves.

We have four children, the eldest is 5, so nothing like the number you have but with them all being that young in a small house life is rather busy. My wife struggles to manage them all during pregnancy, and we didn't know how we would cope with the next. Then, out of the blue, we were contacted by a foreign student who wished to stay with a family to practice English. She came into our home and enjoyed it so much she has stayed for months, helping around the house and with the children in lieu of board. Straight after she arrived we found my wife was pregnant - and it was a rough early pregnancy, where the help was essential. Then we lost the baby, and that is a difficult time where again we needed the help. God had provided help we didn't even know was possible, without us even asking - as we didn't even know this was going to happen.

If God can provide this for us, He can provide for your needs also. We serve an amazing God.

Hi there Cow Family and Samuel!

We are located in North central Idaho, and the "due date" is April first. So I am expecting these little munchkin doodles somewhere between mid march and then.

I enjoyed talking to your wife, she seems like a real sweetie.

Oh and to update the post. I have volunteers scheduled for the 30th of Dec. through the 26th of January! :)

Samuel thank you for the encouragement. I know He has provided for us miraculously so many times and I know that He will do so again. If it isn't how I am thinking, I am completely open to that as well. :)

Hey Elisheba,

I moved to Alabama two years ago on Dec. 25th. I was living in Lewiston, ID and still have family there. How far away are you from there? Just wonderin'...

Congratulations too!

In Him,
Deborah

Hi Elisheba,
I am new to the forum just today. It's good to know there are fellow Idahoans here! Anyways, I have added you and yours to my prayer list and sent a short introductory PM to you.

Blessings!

Nice to know you are around Southlander... I am looking forward to your PM but having seen it yet. Perhaps it didn't get sent???

Anyway, thank you for the prayers!

Eli, Just wanted to take a minute and say congratulations on the new additions you have coming. God bless.

Thought I would let everyone know that I have now got help scheduled through mid-March! Praise Yah! :D

So today I got a PM asking about my twins and since I had just been thinking about updating this here I am.
It actually turned out to be one huge baby. It is a long story, but the short one is that I have a hard time palpating my own belly, had a friend (MW) come over and we found heart tones in a couple of places and we both thought it was twins (I was measuring very large for a single baby). Toward the end I was getting heart tones in 3 places consistently and went for an ultrasound on a (very) small ultrasound unit. I couldn't see anything, but the new tech said she saw 2 babies immediately and then I said where I found heart tones and she said she "saw" a 3rd heart and baby. She told us positions of the babies and everything! That threw us for a loop! We went around feeling so blessed and happy ended up going to a specialist in Spokane only to have them say that our ultrasound tech was a moron and there was just a very large baby girl! I had looked at myself at the end going "sometimes it looks like one huge baby" but was fooled right up to that ultrasound 4 days before she was born.
So needless to say it was an emotional time for me for a long while, however life with 9 children is great. We are all doing well, but I don't always feel that there is enough of me. The older children help with the younger but the younger ones want Mama, and sometimes only to Mama and Daddy will do. I remind myself that the Creator knew this and that these children's characters are being formed by this and in just the way that is right for them. It is fun to see how the older ones change and grow. The baby is wonderful (Jasmine or Yasmine in Hebrew) 8 months old now and already in 18 months size clothes, crawling everywhere, waving and standing. We are so blessed...
