Hi all
I am second and my husband got shot yesterday
He has no enemy
The only thing apparent is our wedding as many were opposing to that.
We were working for the same company. I left...
In that company it seems many people were interested in me...when the story of our marriage came out the gossip started. That was almost 3 months ago.

Past few days the story came out of the company everyone who know him and the 1st were hearing about the story.

It wasn't a robbery they went to kill him.

The 1st didn't know about when will the wedding take place, she wasn't okay with that.
Recently the story started coming out and he got shot.

Now they think it might be someone who was interested in me who did that but those people knew that months ago why only now? Only when everything is out?
What if it came from the 1st family.

It's really complex

I can't go to see him at hospital as it might raise clashes
He asked me questions if I know someone who have means to do that, many questions while he knows me very well.
It hurts sooooo much
But I understand he got shot and his life and kid's one were in danger

My heart is broken
I don't know what to do
I can't call because he doesn't have the phone
I feel bad
Just pray for me

I need prayer it's so hard to not see the one you love who is not well
Not even being able to talk or even chat regularly.
And knowing that he thinks it might come from my side is just unbearable

I haven't eaten for 2 days now
Can't eat
I'm really broken
I need God
I need him
Only him can strengthen me and make me go through all this

Advices and prayer will help me

Praying for strength and comfort.....and healing for you and your family.

So sorry he has been hurt, but glad he is alive.

You have my prayers for God's anointing and healing upon your husband, yourself, your family, and your situation. And tonight I will bring this to my women's Bible study and you'll have about forty prayer warriors going to Jesus for you! ;)

Not a good situation praying for you and your family
...
But you sound like a victim..don’t be a victim be strong
Eat some good meals , you are of no use to anyone if you can’t get yourself together
You are not the only one that’s hurting. what of his first wife and children?
Can you support them? If you where the first wife what would be helpful.
Can you be support for everyone else
this could bring you all together, maybe?
Be strong
Rise to the challenge

I'm reminded of Peter stepping out of the boat and seeing the wind and the waves. That is what you must be going through right now. We have all faced storms, and they look overwhelming to us when we are going through them. May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind at this time. Everything is going to work out. You will see. God is in control of this situation.

I am so sorry that this has happened. Praying for strength and peace for all of you.

Praying for strength and wisdom to come to you. May the Lord bring good out of intended evil. Watch for it!

Out of curiosity, what part of DRC are you from? Would you say that Law enforcement there, is honest for the most part, or is there corruption that you find yourself having to deal with, from time to time?

Hi all thanks a lot for your messages and prayers
I am so touched by what you wrote.
It feels good to know that there are people there for me.
I don't go to church anymore.
I don't even have a prayer group.

I am alone as everyone goes to the churches of this world. Churches that walk by the pastor's way and not God's way.

He's still in hospital. Doing okay
Recovering.
It's not easy as I can't see him, but as long as he's fine currently that's the most important.
We still don't know who did it and why.
It might be robbery but mostly looks like an attempt murder.
There's no apparent reason as he's in peace with everyone.

Keep us, especially him in you prayers.
I trust the Lord and I know he's with us.

One thing is sure it's a miracle that he's alive.
They shoot on the face at few cm but he moved a little and touched the jaw.
And he's there alive.
No organ was touched.
Just flesh
The bullets came out.

All the glory to God.
He's really a God of love

I am from Kasai Oriental(Mbujimayi) but was born in Katanga (Likasi) and I am now living in Kinshasa (the capital)

I was abroad (India) for few years. That's where I did Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering.

Corruption is unfortunately the norm here. Even in University.
The government completely corrupted.
Public or private companies corrupted.
The whole system I can say.

There are things that are clearly corruption.
There are things that are not according to the law but became the normal way for everyone.
For example you don't need to pay for something at the post but you pay.
There are things that are free but you have to pay to get them on time...

I was afraid of that. At least we know that he is OK.

How is your husband doing now? Have you managed to get permission to see him yet?

This is fantastic advice from @MrB:

Can you support them? If you where the first wife what would be helpful.
Can you be support for everyone else
this could bring you all together, maybe?
Will continue to pray for you all.

Support comes in all different shapes and sizes
I remember when I was a small child my mother would make a pie or some kind of meal for friends in crisis.
And even now at 79 she still helps others. There’s something nice about not having to cook a meal when you have your hands full with difficulty.
It’s also a great distraction from your own difficulty’s to give to someone else need.
