I married my Jamaican bride last year while already married to another lady. However, I was abandoned by my wife four years ago and I only have one wife at home. Perhaps my other wife will repent of her adultery and return to me one day? I hope so. :D

YA mon!

nice pics of your family, Bryce.

Blessings

Hi Todd,

I sent you an email. You should try http://www.sisterwives.net, and http://www.soulfulharmony.com. At soulfulharmony.com you have to pay a yearly membership but you will find plenty of single Christian women interested in a plural/Biblical marriage. Also, placing an ad in Craigslist is a free way that might help you get in contact with some interested women. I placed an ad in Salt Lake City and I am currently getting to know a good Christian woman that read my ad. You just need to advertise yourself, and let interested good Christian women know who you are, and what you are looking for. And of course always pray for God to help you and guide you. Best of luck. Jorge

I don't have any questions, but I'd just like to show solidarity with you and say it's the cat's meow. My wife is Jamaican and women in her culture are, on average, more humble than North American women when it comes to their husbands. That is really precious to have a wife who hasn't been as negatively influenced by feminism — I am blessed to have such a jewel of a wife! :D

The links have been edited to reflect the (intended, I hope) http://www.sisterwives.net.

But I'll take this opportunity to state again that I don't think either of these sites are a good way to meet a great Christian lady. If anyone here is a success story from meeting on these sites, feel free to post and disagree with me.

Watch the next newsletter for our take on a better way to meet someone.

Also, guys, feel free to state how great you have it - but let's not have this thread devolve into American-woman bashing, please. There are awesome women of God right here too. Yes, most of them still need to be shown the truth about plural marriage, but if you haven't found them, it may, just possibly, say something about you, not them.

Thanks for fixing that pornographic link. :D

Well, most American women have feminist beliefs and they carry that with them into their Christian faith and it takes a lot of teaching for them to work through their baggage. Jamaican churches have very few female Pastors and women dress like women. I'm sure that there are communities like that in North America, but they're the exception and not the rule. Also, where I live in Canada the values are far from where they should be and I don't find many Christian women attractive. What do I consider attractive? A gentle and quiet spirit (1 Peter 3:4). Further, North American men have been really affected by the feminist agenda as well. Having a wife who doesn't have as much of that baggage is helpful, as there is less garbage for both of us to sort through. I've got enough to work through myself and I'm grateful to have a humble wife.

Since this topic is about marrying foreign women I'd like to really encourage men who want a wife to consider one. I am very happy with the jewel I found. Actually, she's more precious than a jewel. :D

If any of our sisters are reading this thread know that there are many foreign women out there who are very attractive to men with a Biblical mindset because they are very in touch with traditional values. Also, please note that I believe it is clear that we were speaking generally and not in a way that would be a slight towards our sisters who have been able to see through the feminist lies. Do not be offended and, if you need to, try to learn from foreign women and embrace what it is that they've got that you don't. I think that's good advice, for I try to do the same with foreign men. They are more in touch with traditional values and I have a lot I can learn from them. Shalom.

I guess it all depends on one's point of view, doesn't it?

Is the man primarily interested in getting wives? (Understanding that that may well be a very valid primary motivator if he's currently single!)

Or is he primarily interested in being a God's Associate type husband and of help to the single women of his community?

There's enough to do for a good solid start in most of our own home churches.

Well, it really depends on where Hashem leads a man. I met my wife Keneshia when I wasn't even looking. The internet really can bring people together from across the world who would normally never meet. I ran into her on a Christian website that had nothing to do with finding a mate. It was just a regular old social networking site for Hebraic-minded individuals. I am very happy that Hashem met me with the woman I really wanted. She is lovely in all the ways that matter most to me. She is my Queen. :D

I was on many different Christian websites for singles and I couldn't find a decent woman that I was attracted to. They might have been very beautiful looking, but many were putrid inside. They were mainly secular people passing themselves off as Christians. They liked to talk more about their favourite movies and television shows then their Saviour. They were much more concerned with getting more established in their careers than they were with having children. There were many lonely Christian ladies in their late 20s and early 30s who were beginning to realise that they kind of missed the boat by getting a professional education and career and they couldn't find a decent Christian man to marry them. The vast majority of Christian women looking for husbands on personals websites are very drawn to feminism and the more I looked for a wife the more distraught I became with the state of the congregation of Messiah in North America.

My friend has tried this resource http://moscowmarriage.net to find a christian bride. I said it that such sites can't help with his "problem", but I was mistaken.. He had found a girl and they still living together for 2 years. So I don't know exactly is it good to search for a bride on such resources...

I could be wrong. But isn't it better to have Yah bring her, or lead you to her? That is rather than taking it upon yourself to find her. I personally would rather that my heavenly father arranged a marriage for me knowing what is best for me.

Well, there's never been a full consensus on this, so as with most things go with what feels right in your walk, however we have many examples of people actively seeking spouses in the Bible (or sending their servant to seek for their son, or being impressed by someone and marrying them, etc) but only 2 examples I can think of where God directly involved himself in the marriage process. Adam, and Hosea. So I personally don't see an issue with actively seeking a bride. However for most of us who would be seeking a second or more, out of country brides wouldn't really work because we couldn't provide citizenship since we already had a "legal" wife.

And the only ever-so-messy way around that is to first have a legal divorce so as to have a legal marriage for naturalization.

Divorcing the first to bring a second into the country doesn't necessarily work in all jurisdictions. In New Zealand:
- You cannot get a divorce without first separating for at least 2 years, making divorce practically impossible for this purpose.
- Marriage doesn't make any legal difference to whether you can bring someone into the country as a "partner" or not, it's all based on the relationship with no regard to marital status. This means it's pointless divorcing anyway - but also means it might be possible to bring someone in as a "partner" while still having a legal marriage to someone else, a very interesting theoretical possibility, not sure how it would work in practice.

Sister Wives is not in business anymore. I listed at Soulful Harmony for free and did not see a paid option. There were only half a dozen women there that I could find. One contacted us from a foreign country, but we decided she was not a good fit for us.

Todd,

I know this was awhile ago but it caught my eye. I have one friend that did this that had stellar results and then I knew a guy who worked for my parents that did this and ended up in jail on a bogus claim while his wife emptied the accounts took a flight to another city and left him hurting financially for awhile. I feel for you and I hope the outlook has improved. If this was your final option I would have to say look at the Chinese or Filipino sites for this. Both societies are more open to this and often the women that advertise through those sites tend to be more educated. Both groups have women (More in the Philippines; China has some but most are Buddhist) who are often devoutly Christian and families are open to them marrying American men more than most. Although I haven't used these services I'm very familiar with both cultures (and a few others) My first language was Filipino (I spent my formative years with a Filipino woman) and my wife is Chinese. I have been to several parts of Asia and in general they are very good people and open to Gods word when they haven't been exposed to it. If you want anymore information just let me know and I'll be happy to share. I believe I am being called to move to China and my wife and I plan on looking there for a sisterwife.

With Gods Love,
Patrick
Isn't it illegal to get a wife from the Philippines? I heard men do the dating sites for women because in that country it is illegal for women to advertise or whatever.
