Practically Managing Envy

I found this article for practical advice. I totally suck at it. Yes, I'm in a PM. No, I do not wish to discuss my circumstances because they are *really* crappy right now. I cannot overemphasize *really crappy* enough. But I digress:

I don't agree with the site because it's polyamory but it's good advice. Also, if you want to live a miserable PM or non-PM life, I suggest you read this:

I have visited the same site before, and yes the advice can be very good. I have a lot of issues with those who identify as "polyamorous" as well, but there is a lot more in the way of resources for poly loving in their sphere. I have learned a lot from reading their sites.

That's very interesting. I wonder what their world view is based upon, polyamory aside.
I'm not sure but to me it seems as if, for lack of a better phrase, "free love?" where as long as everyone is open and honest and you're pursuing your own happiness without the expense of others, relationships are free game albeit homosexual, bisexual, married or not.

From what I've read, in "open" circles such as polyamory and in societies where it is socially acceptable and openly practiced, Envy seems to be a running theme. So I disagree with arguments blaming "society" for envy. Living in a "society" where it's not socially acceptable and openly practiced makes living a PM life HARDER but doesn't eliminate the issue of Envy. To me, those are two totally different issues, but that's just my observation/experience.
