What's so ridiculous is that "marriage" to an AI is simply impossible, it isn't even a thing. The word "marriage" is completely irrelevant. Yet it would not be at all surprising if some government makes a legal thing that they call "marriage to an AI" - which will only serve to further illustrate how state marriage is simply not real. As if gay marriage hadn't already illustrated that enough.

Yeah but they already defeated it in training with a cardboard box. And that was just a couple of enlisted Marines trying different tricks out for a few hours. I’m skeptical that it’s anywhere near ready for practical fielding, at least at the ground level.

I agree with you at the moment. However, technology is advancing so rapidly that it might be a serious danger only a few years from now.

They're not using chatGPT for targeting weapons, it's for language-based military applications, such as intelligence. The military will certainly have a use for it there, and this simply reinforces your point that it's here to stay. Particularly since they're now in the military-industrial-complex funding gravy train.

With trans humanism there may already be people married to AI controlled humans
