Stories of persecution for your beliefs.

I am recently coming to this understanding and have been talking about it with my pastor. He agrees with me mostly but is still studying it out. I would appreciate everyone's prayers for him to reach the correct Biblical conclusion. His first name is Robert.
Also if anyone has any suggestions about what I could present to him that would be appreciated.
He has already acknowledged that he finds nothing in the old testament that speaks against it. And that God in fact endorsed it.
His study is now focused on the New Testament and we do talk about it on a very regular basis.

The Great Omission by Clyde L. Pillington, or Man and Woman in Biblical Law by Tom Shipley as major books. Online, search Bible.org for On the Morality of Biblical Polygamy by Rev. William Luck (former professor of Bible and Theology at Moody Bible Institute). Minor books would include Eros Made Sacred by James Wesley Stivers, The Monogamy Lie by Maurice Nelson...

Hope those help or pm me for other source material..

If you go to the home page of this website, and look at the dropdown menu "Resources", you'll find a lot of useful material. Under "Personal" there is a letter specifically written for pastors confronted by this issue. Under "Biblical" and "Further Reading" you'll find useful articles giving scriptural answers to the major objections to polygamy, and many valuable books, including those mentioned above.

It's the anonymity that is I think the worst element. Someone can accuse you with no knowledge, or consequence whatsoever, just to cause you grief.

That is part of the problem. But that wouldn't be so big a deal if the court systems were just; instead they routinely violate due process rights and the system has financial incentives to lie, cheat and steal in order to take your child.
