I’m confused as to why this missile attack is a big deal. Everyone knew Russia had ICBMs. Russia has been attacking Ukraine with missiles for 4 years.

The only thing different this time is that Russia used a really expensive missile to do it, but one with conventional warheads.

This actually looks like a pretty toothless threat to me. What was actually escalated? Nothing. Had this exact same attack been committed with a more appropriately sized missile then none of us would even know about it.

So what was the point? I’ll be honest, I’m a little surprised that Russia has enough functioning ICBMs to waste one like this but there hasn’t been any demonstration of anything that wasn’t known already.

Russia has ICBMs, Russia has been launching missiles at Ukraine, there’s nothing new here other than that now Russia has fewer ICBMs to launch at NATO.

This is a weak, exhausted country grasping at straws.

This is a country that doesn't want to hit AmeriKa until they at least have an adult in the White House.

What other message would you suggest? A nuke on the Swamp?

Just my two cents here is Russia's retasking of a very expensive and irreplaceable IMRBM to use to carry a payload that could have been delivered with a much cheaper glide bomb speaks both to their desperation and to their dwindling resources.

Good.

Or their willingness to send an expensive message to a Whore House that doesn't deserve it, rather than the real nuke on the Swamp they're jonesin' for.

Using an expensive and irreplaceable missile to do some modest damage to a suburban home isn't much of a message. Heck, it didn't even bust out all the windows!

Because only think Ukraines do to fire long range missile is to press finger. Targeting data, navigation data is all done by NATO.

So Russian consider this NATO attack on their territory. And they are right. Look, hiring murderer so that you can claim "It's not me" is pure fakery.

So Russians naturally have right to be bomb NATO. Which NATO can't stop.

Putin said that next time they will target facility on NATO territory.

You so much remind me of Churchill. Person who gas done most to help German on British side. Why? Let's just go into fight.

Zero thinking about consequences. How about are we ready, do we have enough resources, maybe we should stop sending troops into neutral countries (Norway*) or into allies which can't be saved (Greece).

*They didn't officially send before invansion, but have planned to send anyway. Land and then ask for permission.

That's not the point. Point is it's hypersonic missile.

Look, at 6000 km/h plasma is formed around missile. And plasma can't be detected by radar. N
So missile is flying blindly towards target (can't use radar for navigation) while being totally stealthy for real.

Stealth aircraft can be detected, just hard, hypersonic can't.

Only warning is when missile start descending after exiting hypersonic. I assume missile will exit hypersonic speed for final orientation above target. Then missile will descend accelerating. Kinetic energy may be even greater than explosives.

So targeted soldiers only have time to say their final prayers before meeting maker. Which means no defence exists. Your life is on Russian mercy. This is point.

Even nuclear ICBM are way easier to take out because you can do radar tracking.

Hypersonic weapons are like invention of airplane or tank.

Aaah, Reuters. Right up there with MSNBC...

I've seen one video of the (six) MIRV strikes at least half a dozen different places, all more reliable, including ZeroHedge, and TGP.

Wow. Even CNN. They must have been chastened of late... ;)
The ones that are left.
I guess that a lot of them got fired as their ratings tanked.
And ComCast wants to dump MSNBC. Elon was wondering what it was going for.

When news organizations think that they have the responsibility to drive the news and they fail spectacularly.

Back to the focus of this thread, with all the strong males that Trump is gathering, I heard his regime referred to as a Broligarchy.
