Big Love!

Greetings Sisters!

Just checking in to see if any of you here follow HBO's series Big Love? If you do, what are your thoughts on the very last episode last night? My husband and I both enjoy the show. However, we do not agree with the Mormon doctrine of pm presented in the show. Nor do we take the show as Godly doctrine to follow or put our hope in. We just enjoy it from a basic foundation of entertainment, and the fact that it is currently the only ongoing series that portrays pm in any kind of a positive light.

Very thought provoking to say the least, as it inspires my dh to bring up the topic of pm with me from time to time. Then I joyfully follow his lead at that point. Dh is kind of a quite introspect (right word?), kind of guy who doesn't easily share his thoughts on a regular basis. But I've noticed the wheels turning in his head regarding pm, as I've kept it lifted in prayer for Yeshuas will to be done in our marriage. In a way, this show somewhat prompts thoughts and conversation with my dh regarding pm. Anywho, we don't take the show all that seriously though.

So any thoughts on the last show? Still can't believe that they only made 8 shows this season, and we hope it is coming back next season! What about you ladies, any thoughts/discussion on the topic?

F.S. :)

We have watched the first two seasons, but don't get them on TV. We actually don't have cable at all right now. I am looking forward to buying the third season, but probably not for a while, unless I find a great deal.

I was really sad last night, because there were only eight episodes this season and the ending was very sad. I don't won't to spoil it for others like Sweet Lissa who haven't watched all of the seasons yet. I sure hope it comes back, because last night's episode didn't fulfill that warm fuzzy feeling I get watching it.

What ever happened to that idea about making our own pm show from people from this site? Who amongest the husbands here would be Bill? Who amongest the ladies would be Barb, Nicki, or Marge?

I personally love the show, and have watched every episode since day one. My dh works evenings so he doesn't get to watch it with me, but we always have fun talking about it afterwards. I have to give him a call at work and give him a complete rundown on what happened. We don't necessarily agree with the doctrine, but it definitely is thought provoking and entertaining.

I personally relate to Margie the most. Poor thing tries so hard to do the right thing and seems to make one bad decision after the other! But her heart is in the right place most of the time. I can't help but feel for her!
