While this article is about gay marriage I think it is appropriate to note that the opinion of the general public does change over time. Polygamy has become more and more of a topic people are willing to discuss, and I have noticed that more frequently I am seeing people stating something like "It's not for me, but if consenting adults want to, why not?".
