Does anybody really know what time it is?

I am starting a new topic because we have beaten some of the others long enough. As some of you know, one of the jobs God has given me to do in my ministry is identify the ministry gifts, (Eph. 4:11) in His people and encourage them to begin to operate in those gifts, so that we can all come to perfection in Christ and He can come back, (Eph. 4:9-16). I have observed in the past several years of doing this that the vast majority of people who call themselves Christian have no earthly idea what it is that God really wants them to do. This thread will appeal mostly to those who have a prophetic gift, but should stimulate the apostles and teachers as well. I have all five gifts, (as probably most of the people on this site do) but my main gift is that of a teacher. My second strongest gift is apostolic, then prophetic, then pastoral and finally evangelical. God has me operate in each gift as He deems necessary. When I was baptized in the Holy Spirit a number of years ago, God spoke several things over my life, including the fact that He was going to give me the heart of Christ. This gift has made me very sensitive to the timing of God's overall plan for us in the earth and what we as God's people need to do to prepare for the time that we find ourselves in. I understand the great urgency with which God is speaking to those of His children who are listening, regarding the current state of the body of Christ. To take a question from one of my favorite secular music groups - Chicago, (though I am sure they were not thinking along these lines when they wrote the song) what I want to know is, ‘does anybody really know what time it is’ in relation to the return of Christ, and even more urgently the great tribulation?

God has given me some fairly detailed information on the subject as I lay out in my book and teachings that can be freely downloaded from my web sites, (www.perfectchristian.110mb.com or http://perfectchristian.hostrator.com). However, I believe that there is more information out there with God’s true prophets, (as I said I am not mainly a prophet, but can fill in as God needs). Amos says essentially that God does not do anything without first telling His prophets. I am asking you guys, and anyone else who may read this, what God has shown you. Perhaps we can put something together to get a better picture of things. I will save my comments until I get some input here and see what you guys are ‘seeing’. I will try to add along the way what God has shown me, since it is quite a bit of information and I am not sure yet how to condense it, but will pray and ask God to help me.

I feel led to do this, since I do not see much activity from the prophets that I know and I God told me that from this month forward we will see an increase in disasters, both natural and man-made, (e.g., the planes falling out of the sky all over the world lately) that I believe will escalate over the next few months to years and lead us into the great tribulation.

I delayed my response for a while, to see what approach others may take, largely because I cannot claim any "new" revelation on the topic for some time.

But what I was shown quite some time ago continues to be what I was given to expect.

Early in 2008, I made the point to my wives and family that I fully expected the economic collapse to become obvious in the fall of that year, and that we should plan accordingly. (BTW, I did not see this particular as a spiritual revelation at all, so much as a statement of fact, based on economic principles that He had long shown to us, and situations that obviously simply could not persist.)

The eventual collapse itself, and the widespread moral decay, economic destruction, and ultimately civil unrest and war, has been something that He has made clear to me since I was doing the radio show at the turn of the millenium. It is something I have written and talked about ever since. I have always been circumspect about the timeframe, however, usually with a bit of comic relief like, "I don't do dates", or even a secular reference to Heinlein's cynical quote, "Never underestimate the power of human stupidity."

In public writings and more secular-oriented talks, as opposed to private or expressly Biblical settings, I tend to emphasize the economic aspects of the coming collapse. But it has always been clear to me from His Word, and the patterns there, that when the inevitable is "delayed" (such as by the increasingly blatant and overtly criminal manipulation of the gold, commodity, and currency markets, for example) that He seems to allow apparently "natural" disasters (or "acts of God", from droughts to hurricanes to earthquakes) to provide the "spark" that ignites the conflagration.

Bottom line, Ray, is that I completely agree to expect another significant set of cascading societal disasters, primarily and initially economic, but rapidly escalating, by the fall. It has become more difficult for me to discern whether that understanding is based on spiritual discernment at this point, or simply "eyes to see" what is clearly coming.

The importance of understanding Revelation 18:4 (et al) remains.

Thanks Mark. It sounds as though you are seeing the same things. I am not too adept in the natural concerning the economy, markets, etc. That is why unless God is showing me something, I am pretty much 'blind' to pick up on things. I know that your main gift is that of an apostle, (by your name alone) so your gift will allow you to 'see the big picture'. That may be why you are 'seeing' these things as a church leader, as opposed to a more pure prophetic gift. I hope that your 'breaking the ice' here will help those with more of a prophetic gift to begin to step forward and let us know what God is speaking to them through dreams, Words, etc.

Thank you to everyone in advance for your input here. I just feel that we are near the bend in the sigmoid curve after which things will escalate rapidly and we need to all band together and help each other to get ready for these drastic and rapid chnges.

Everywhere I'm sent is on the outer curve of the economic problems, there are few to none here now and even when things fail elsewhere I will have considerably more time. I'm in a good position to counterstrike when everything hits the fan and grab as many faithful as I can before retreating to the outskirts of civilization. I need to build up more authority though so more people will listen to me when the problems get obvious.

I'm not fully set up to do that yet so we still have some time before things really go wrong.

My wife just raised a good point though. Is it better to go into hiding as a larger community or in family groups? I always tend to favour the community but she pointed out that we would be more conscious and more likely to get hunted down en-masse. She raises a very good point. Any other views on that?
 
I have come to conclude that the safest place for any of us to be is in the center of His will for us -- wherever He made lead us individually (or our house).

Psalm 91 seems to help in that regard...

I will say of the LORD, [He is] my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, [and] from the noisome pestilence.

He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth [shall be thy] shield and buckler.

Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; [nor] for the arrow [that] flieth by day;
[Nor] for the pestilence [that] walketh in darkness; [nor] for the destruction [that] wasteth at noonday.

A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; [but] it shall not come nigh thee.

Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
 
I don't know if you've seen enough of an answer to the question raised here or not, Ray - but I felt led this morning to post something that was at least a bit related. (And it's the first time I've posted something so specifically about economics here on BF, but I do think that is how "the world" will see the process begin.)

So -- It's getting late.

And -- if we pay attention -- we'll see 'the Beast' consolidate power by destroying the economic power of this former Republic, as "all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication." That shift will be dramatic, and yet most people will not understand what is happening, on either the physical or the spiritual level. Debt, and slavery that comes from it, will be a big part of the process.

I will again thank you here for your obedience in this seriously important matter. We can no longer put our heads in the sand and pretend that this issue is a non-issue for Christians. It is time to act and prepare both spiritually and physically. Jair has commented that he is preparing for just such things and God has led me to do the same. People will mock and say that we are just more 'alarmists' and that this just makes Christians look bad, like those in Waco, Ruby Ridge, etc. However, there will always be the false mixed in with the true prophets of God. It is up to the individual to know the scripture to know which is real. Preparing spiritually for these things is the main way that one should prepare, but there are things to do in the natural as well. I advise people to go to the Federal Government web site that deals with preparing for terrorist attack to get started, unless they are specifically hearing from God to do something else. Have emergency rations, particularly food and water available, clothing, camping/survival gear and even a gun with ammunition on hand for the ready. These are things that God has placed on my heart to do. Also, having plans of where to go in the case of a terrorist attack or the like would be helpful, just as having a plan for escape from one's home in the event of a fire is prudent. As to whether it is better to be in groups or separate is for God to decide in each individual case, just get ready! He will direct the escape if one is prepared and has done their part and is prayerfully asking Him for guidance in this area.

The bottom line as I understand it is that when things go into the tank and the great trib begins, (and I believe it will be sooner than most think) only those who have been perfected in Christ will be called out of harm's way initially. These are the 144,000, (men not counting women and children, I believe). I also refer to them in the book and my teachings as the 'Philadelphia church'. They are the only ones who have been promised in Revelation 3:10 that they will be taken out of harm's way for alll of the trib. All those who do not make it into the '144,000 club' will have to go through at least part of the great trib. This will include all those who did not heed this message. They will either be killed, put in prison or at the very least suffer severe lack until God can get them to the 'place of safety'. I have covered all this in the book that God had me write and in my teachings on Revelation, 666 and Babylon that are freely available for download from one of my web sites. I hope that people will avail themselves of the information that God has given through me and take heed that time is indeed short and we must GET READY!
