Well, the good news is, we have just successfully updated with 3 years worth of phpBB fixes (3.0.8->3.0.12). Which means there's other stuff we can do better now (watch for something fun in the next day or two).

The bad news is that our custom menus for the entire website only partially made the trip. Actually, I think they are all there, they are just ugly, pushed together on the top right. Please learn to ignore, as I think this may take a little while to get fixed.

Nice header too. More contemporary look.

The formatting options and smilies doesn't seem to work with me. I'm on Windows 8 and Chrome.
 
Hi Nathan,

Is it just my goofy computer or are the active topics not going to be listed in red any longer to indicate a post has not been read yet? Also, is there supposed to be a white horizontal strip running across the full header, which is beheading all the nice folk in the BibFam logo? Again, my computer may be the culprit.
 
Active posts show red for me, and no one is loosing their head about it.
No suggestion as to what's making it that way for you though.
 
The white box up top is where the Menu pulldowns are supposed to be, instead of off to the right. Some text is also white-on-white, at the bottom of the pages, highlight and you can see it.
I am making a list of php tweaks we need, post upgrade - but don't hold your breath for them, you'll turn a worse color than blue.

(I also don't see a problem with active topics.)

my active topics still turn red.
The white bar chops the cross off my church, but so far everyone still has their head :)
 
Hello Again Nathan...

The red is showing up now for unread active topics, which I am very thankful for; however, I cannot get any of my smileys to insert. Any suggestions?

Sorry about that. No smilies. :-( Our current phpBB install may be on it's last legs. Pray for a site reboot before too long, to turn our :-( into :-)

(And yeah, I did those manually.)
 
Another observation. The search box in the top right is being blocked by the light blue bar that goes across the screen. I can tell that's what's causing it by the way the cursor changes going across the Search Button. Right where the light blue bar intersects with the button, the button finger changes back to a standard cursor. This is in Firefox, Chrome and IE.
