Gender Differences Matter

I was recently having a discussion with a family member and they wanted to say there is no differences and that gender roles in today's society do not matter. This in my opinion is diametrically opposed to what Scripture tells us.
Gender also plays a role in our positions in relationships.
1 Peter 3:17 Wives, (female role), likewise, be in submission to your own husbands (male role), that even if some do not obey the word, they without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives, when they observe your chaste conduct accompanied by fear. Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel— rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God. For in this manner, in former times, the holy women who trusted in God also adorned themselves, being submissive to their own husbands, as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, whose daughters you are if you do good and are not afraid with any terror. Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.
This clearly shows the role of a wife and woman.
The man has clearly specified gender roles as well from the Scriptures
Ephesians 5:28-29 says, So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church.
The Husband clearly is a defined male role.
Gender matters so much to God that he gave distinctive roles and responsibilities. Men are to take leadership roles and be the headship. I am going to say it and most here would agree this is again why same sex relationships only are again against scripture because for example, we see that two women cannot have proper headship. We also, can see that men with men is wrong because you can't have two men both in a headship position.
This why even though we believe in polygyny this is not our only role as believers we need to make sure people have a relationship with the Savior that is the first and foremost of every believer is to share Christ and let the other chips fall as they may.
The family and gender roles are under attack by the enemy. The enemy knows if he can destroy the family he can destroy the foundations. Psalm 11:3 KJV says If the foundations be destroyed what can the righteous do?
As believers we have a responsibility to keep the foundations in tact as much as possible.

It sounds like your family isn't that much into Scripture. I say this because you cannot use the Bible to justify the Bible to people who do not believe in the Bible.

It's more effective to find real world examples of people who live Biblical principles to assert your position and then lead your family to the source of those principles.

I say that from experience. Being made to live Biblical principles helped me to come to Christ.

Sex
People have sexual roles.
Words have gender as it is a function of grammar.
Improper use of the term is a tacit participation in maladaptive leftist water muddying tactics of the mentally diseased but extremely manipulative political left.

Relevant to this topic is my objection to the use of the plural pronouns they, them, and their when referring to someone who is known to be a man or a woman.

There is a topic on this subject and I encourage folks to read it.
