I've gradually become interested in polygyny over the last 20-odd years...

Some years ago, my wife and I became very close friends with a beautiful woman our age - she became a best friend to both of us. We travelled together, sleeping in the same room (and camping in the same small tent). We shared a common heart for missions, for prayer, for outdoor activities... Our church seemed to have accepted that we are inseparable. I could give more details but don't want to blow my cover in case someone stumbles upon this.

On one such trip, I mentioned to them that someone we knew back in the day (who is a member of this board also) has embraced polygyny... the reaction by both of them was immediate and negative... and unbelieving that Christians could believe such things. Therefore, I must be careful about what I post and reveal.

That being said, I look forward to visiting this board and learning. I have many questions.

Thank you,

"Just Me"

Welcome JM. We are probably all used to that reaction. It is hardest and hurts most when it is from our loved ones. My wife heard this thing about polygyny directly from God, (she is a prophet) and she has yet to really embrace it, so join the crowd. Just stay prayerfully patient and God will work it out for you. I look forward to hearing more from you and what God is telling you about this and other things.

Be blessed,

Dr. Ray

Welcome, 007!!

May "M" give you all needed strategic support and "Q" give you the coolest Astin Martin EVER to navigate through the never-to-be-considered-boring topic of plural marriage! You'll find vastly different believers here who have quite remarkable stories, and may you find solid, balanced and scriptural answers to all your questions.
