Hello From A Happy Husband, Wife and Wife

Several years back, while teaching though Leviticus I pointed out the various passages specifically permitting multiple wives. I mentioned that none of the poly people we meet in Scripture were ever "busted" by God. I also shared with them example after example of heroes of the faith being poly, including David (and that God took credit for giving David his wives). Then I mentioned that Jesus prohibition against divorce and remarriage had nothing to do with marrying more than one wife. In addition Paul's requirements for an elder to be the husband of one wife could/should have been translated as "first wife" (shared a bit about the Greek word Mia). A ten minute rabbit trail caused an uproar.
