Hey everyone.

Well, at least I'm not alone :) . A year ago (wow, it's already been that long *sheeesh*), I came to the knowledge of polygyny, (or should I say, revelation). I'm going to have to do some stage setting before I get into the meat, if you don't mind. (everyone says "no, go ahead", just being polite. But I take advantage of the opportunity anyways :D )

Dad (God for those that might not know him yet) started being my father when my biological father stopped coming by.

**Scene FlashBack to an autumn night. Burly woman hums 'Amazing Grace' in the background**
Just 4 years old. I was laying in my bed staring at the light coming in the window. Though I couldn't see the street pole. Then I heard a voice. Quietly, in a form that was unknowingly familiar to me. It was like the entire word or phrase was already spoken to me in a flash. I answered back with delay.

It said "Pa..(all names will be changed due to the Poly Protection Program) "PrayerWarrior". Then silence...."PrayerWarrior...do you know who I am?"
"Daddy!!" I shouted within myself.
A peace filled the room, and I could feel a protection around me everywhere.
**Scene Returns to the Biblical Family Forum where everyone sits intently to hear the rest of the story**

Having God as my dad, is like having a father who can tell you the real reason that the moon follows the car. (Not just because it likes you)
I was on the basketball court when we told me. It was about late afternoon, near night fall (what was I doing on that court soo late as a kid??) I saw the moon, and asked Dad "Why does the moon follow me?"
He told me to hold the basketball up to the streetlight. "See, the light only shines on half of the ball, and the other half is in darkness. The Sun does that to the earth. So, I put the moon there, to reflect the sunlight on to the side of the earth that is dark. That is why I shine on you. So that people in darkness can see light." (Not a direct quote, for He wasn't speaking english).

(There are so many stories I could tell but, I'll leave those juicy tidbits for my novel or the next Biblical Families retreat. :D )
(Anyways Back to the story.)

So one day I was heading to my mother's room to jump on to the bed with her. As I was nearing to the door, I heard her crying and speaking in another language. I asked Daddy "What is Mommy doing?"
"Praying" He said
"What is that?" I questioned
"That is when people talk to me"
"What is it called when You talk to us?" I asked, knowing that a lesson was about to follow.
"Well, that has many names. If I tell you something that you didn't know, that's called - revelation. When I tell you something that I told someone else, that's called - confirmation. When I repeat my revelation to you, that's called - affirmation...." and He went on...
Now slightly overwhelmed by all of the names that we have, for when He talks to us, I asked "Then what are we doing now?"
"This is conversation. That is when you speak and I listen, then I speak and you listen."
Content on learning the names, I asked, "What is mommy praying?"
"She is praying for you." He replied
I wasn't too thrilled to see her tears, so I had to ask "Why is she crying?"
"She is crying so that you don't have to."
That set a light bulb off in my imagination. "You can 'pray' and take away hurting, pain, heartbreak, etc away!"....Idea:
I then asked "Teach me how to pray."
When He showed me how easy it was to pray for people, I was praying for everyone I could see or touch. Hedge of protection here, blessings there, wisdom and guidance over there.
The more I prayed, the more I noticed people that needed it. Dad started telling me what to pray for, and brought people to my remembrance at random times as well.
As I was diligent to pray for whoever He asked me to pray for, He started showing me people I have never met and I would see them and pray for them. Families in danger, hurting women, broken men, missionaries, even ministers in other countries. I could see their faces; I could hear their prayers and pray along with them. I even learned how to pray for future things, without the prayer hitting the ground. (Sometimes when people pray about things in the future, they will ask God to do it in a certain way, instead of leaving that up to him.)

(Please take your bathroom break here if you need it, we'll be right back)

So, we left off talking about praying for others. That is when Dad showed me this girl. She had gone through surgery and was scarred by it. She cried saying "nobody will want to marry me now, I'm all broken". He heard her cry and so did I. Instead of just praying for a husband for her, I told Dad that if He brings her to me, I will love her and marry her. (Throughout my life, He never told me that marriage had anything to do with romance) I interceded for this girl throughout my entire life. I met her 16 years later and married her a year and a half after that.

(Upset reader: "Hey, you went through your past in detail and skipped all the juicy stuff! What gives?!")
(Me: "You have to go to the next Biblical Families retreat to find out. or maybe I'll post it when I get around to it. 8-) )

**Major fastfoward**
Now two years ago, there was a girl. She was the niece of one of my fellow Bible school classmates. She had gone through some very traumatic things in the past. She was taken to go to the school with her aunt. Covered in a large hoodie and baggy clothes, I heard her testimony, and why she was with her aunt. Never really saw her in person. She always had on a large hoodie and baggy clothes. Until the summer of last year, when they were going to move. The aunt was giving away some things and asked us if we wanted her baking set. We said 'yes' and her niece brought it over. When she came in, I hear something in my spirit that shocked me. I didn't know what to think. The next day at work , I was pacing around talking with God. I shot out every question I could think of. The answers had me break out a pad and pen.
(This could get very lengthy, but I don't mean to preach)
He taught me how far the church has drifted from the truth. Traditions that became law, and laws that destroyed the power and purpose that God made the Word. Some would say, 'Polygyny is and was always sin', 'Poly wasn't a sin, but it is now', 'Poly is not God's perfect will'. With all of the arguments that are out there, for or against poly, I don't think many people ask God what the importance of it is. I'm not saying it's the ultimate solution for every problem. But a step in the right direction is a step. Take the economy for example. If one spouse is at home with the children and the other at work, a second wife could make it possible for all three to go to the work force, and pay less overhead. Poly would nearly annihilate prostitution. It's bad when the number one concern for women in the church is 'Will I ever get married?'. Here is a real startling statistic about those that attend church: 61% women and 39% men. (Obviously I'm preaching to the choir)

So He goes on to tell me that polygyny is His will, and that forced monogamy is a doctrine of Rome, along with many other doctrines.

I think wifeone, tells other parts of our story from her perspective, via her questions and concerns in some of her early posts from when she first joined the Forum.
