Good afternoon, everyone! My name is Amy, and I have been lurking in the background for a little while reading your wonderful posts, and learning all I could before introducing myself and adding my own thoughts. I am 28, and live outside of Dallas in Texas. I am a lay midwife with my own practice (birth is my passion, and helping women and families is my favorite pastime), and I am also a freelance writer and content editor for a local newspaper (from home). I am a single mom to a wonderful little boy, and cherish every second I get with him!
Plural marriage has been something I have considered and pondered for many years, and had a rough time reconciling that belief with my faith. I attended a local bible college in Arlington, where I found no like-minded people, and was condemned the few times I spoke about my thoughts on the topic (I was young and not well-spoken in the matter, so that made any conversation difficult). I am overjoyed to find this community of believers who share this common belief, and I am excited to continue to glean information and life lessons from each of you. I hope to get to know some of you both online and in real life, and be an active part of this community in whatever way most honors our Lord. Blessings to each of you and your beautiful families!
