How did you find Biblical Families?
I was looking for polygamist communities online and found this one, but not on my first search.

Have you been to a retreat?
No but I would like to come to the next one. I know there just was one but it's not cheap to fly from Canada.

What IS Biblical Families to you?
A social network, a way to reach out to people I don't have to be shy with all the details of my life. A place to participate in forums. And even a chance to maybe be introduced to the family that will be a good fit for both our families to become one. And dare I say fellowship

What is the most important thing that you receive from your fellowship here?
Prayer, encouragement, challenge, understanding and new friends.

What other features would you like to see?
To meet some of the people on hear at retreats. If and when I get married have a network of safe people to be with my plural family.

What current features would you like to see changed or modified?
I don't have an answer at this time, You?

Do you have any idea of what you would like to hear on the radio program?
No I need to start listening to it. I can't listen to anything before 5 pacific time because I am a home daycare.

I have been with Biblical Families since the day it was conceived.

I have been to 4 retreats.

Biblical families is my outreach.

What I receive from Biblical Families is strength and knowledge and sometimes inspiration. I also receive friendship and sisterhood.

I would love to see bible studies, chat rooms and other things that make it easier to share God's word and God's love in real time.

I think the radio program should do one program on the bible scriptures and the arguments. That way we will have an archive of the arguments and it will be there for reference.

How did you find Biblical Families?
The woman that we were interested in asking to join us in marriage found it while researching. While she was apart from us and seeing another man (unbeknownst to us) she continued to research here. She informed us about it about two months ago--and since has completely broken our hearts.

Have you been to a retreat?
No. Didn't know there were retreats.

What IS Biblical Families to you?
A supportive community to share thoughts and concerns and issues with amongst people who understand and care and are genuinely interested in helping instead of saying, "see? I told you so!"

What is the most important thing that you receive from your fellowship here?
Support and comfort, right now.

What other features would you like to see?
Can't think of anything else we need right now. Thought about asking for a means of meeting someone--but not sure if we want to go down that path again.

What current features would you like to see changed or modified?
Can't think of any.

Do you have any idea of what you would like to hear on the radio program?
Didn't know there was a radio program!

We really don't want to gossip. We're trying to be as gentle as possible, but we're both very, very hurt, confused and feeling utterly betrayed.

On the one hand, she claims she was leaving us in February (when she first had contact with this other guy) and yet on the other hand, she posted on this forum on April 1 how much she wanted to join our family.

When Ben met back with her two months ago, she promised to try--putting that other relationship on "just friends" status--and then actually *started* the relationship with him the very next day (telling him "I love you" for the first time, asking him to marry her (!!!) and even suggesting that they find another woman for him). She claimed, in the last couple weeks, that she couldn't handle sharing--but admitted that she knew that once she was with us for a few weeks that it would not be an issue. She started swinging with this other guy--while telling us that we were the only ones courting her. She lied about her marital status (which we just discovered) from what she told us a year ago. It just seems that every time we turn around, we're uncovering another lie or betrayal.

She has even gone so far as to say that she no longer has faith and isn't sure if she even believes in God.

We're convinced that this man--who has an extensive criminal record, is extremely manipulative and is 60 years old (to her 25 years), is seriously subverting her--to the point of actually believing there is demonic activity taking place that is confusing her and driving her away.

We're unwiling at this point to allow the friendship to even exist.

I remember that post. It seems like she had other issues. Those issues are the kind that can make people do very unpredictable things. I totally understand you wanting to keep yourself from further pain. I hope that being here gives you comfort.

Hi Everyone :) Haven't talked to most of you in awhile!

How did you find Biblical Families? Jolene recommended the site :)
Have you been to a retreat? Not yet!
What IS Biblical Families to you? A group of friends that always have great advice!
What is the most important thing that you receive from your fellowship here? Advice, stories, everything!
What other features would you like to see? A weekly or bi-weekly online study or something that is more than just typing.
What current features would you like to see changed or modified? None
Do you have any idea of what you would like to hear on the radio program? I will listen to anything put on there, personally I just like to talk haha.

I think it would be not only insightful, but I think it would really help some of us who are having a tough time, etc. If it doesn't work out one day, me and you could! Haha

How did you find Biblical Families?
We knew the core group before it started.

Have you been to a retreat?
Yes, several, plus several retreats with some of the same people before BF started. To us, the retreats reign supreme :D (actually, the relationships that develop and grow there)--everything else is peripheral (or an introduction that hopefully leads to real face-to-face friendships). If your only contact with others is online, you DO NOT know what you are missing out on.

What IS Biblical Families to you?
A place to have fellowship with others who I don't have to explain my "strange beliefs" to.

What is the most important thing that you receive from your fellowship here?
To me, the online connection is mainly an extension to the face to face friendships we develop at retreats, as well as a place to connect with newcomers who are on a search for truth as we are.

What other features would you like to see?
Not sure-- we've had so many outside distractions and responsibilities that our online presence has been limited.

What current features would you like to see changed or modified?
Not sure here either.

Do you have any idea of what you would like to hear on the radio program?
Not really-- all of them so far have been great, although we haven't been able to catch all of them "live".

I was reading the forums regarding HBO's "Big Love" and there was a linked posted to go to Biblical Families.

My family has not been to a retreat but really want to make one next year.

Biblical Families is a place where I can get great Biblical advice regarding all sorts of issues that I wouldn't feel comfortable talking to my pastor about.

The most important thing that I receive from my fellowship here is honesty even if it hurts and the laughs that Cecil W and Sweet Lissa provides when the going gets rough.

I agree with livenotyesterday that a Bible study would be great as a feature.

On the radio program I would like to hear Doc converse with this Pastor Don Milton that I read about.
