How Polygyny can prevent jealousy not cause it

It has been said that a woman would be jealous if her husband married more than one woman.

But if a husband will not marry more than one woman then another woman will be jealous of the woman married to the man.

The solution let the unmarried woman marry the married man then she will not be jealous anymore.

But the first wife could/would still be jealous. I don't understand the logic here.

I do. I think.

Can't do nuttin' about some woman or another bein' jealous.

But you've solved ONE problem, anyway. The one you COULD do something about. The single sister now ain't!

Leastwise, that's how I took it. Good one DTT!

'Course, now you may have to deal with the problem of the wife splitting and rejoining the ranks of the single, but again, out of your control!

i find myself in agreement with he-who-scares-crows.

it sure does not prevent the jealousy first presented (the first wife) and only solves the problem of the jealousy of the unattached female.
and the bigger that the family grows, the more jealousy there may be from the unattatched hordes. not a very good motive for marriage.
