I need prayer

Today, I was told that my boss has less than two months to live. He is a beautiful Christian man with a heart as generous as any I have ever met. I have worked for him for a year and I cannot imagine the world without him in it. He has one wife (the don't believe in poly) and 3 children. They have been married for 30 years and their youngest is about to graduate from High School. His oldest daughter is supposed to get married in June.

My heart, as well as everyone I work with, is broken.

Would you please all say a prayer for him, his family and his employees. We all need peace and comfort right now.

Thank you

Sweet Lissa

I am not sure. He has been ill for a few years and I know he has gotten his affairs in order. We are not in danger of losing our jobs, I think it is mainly peace and comfort that we all need. We know he is going to heaven. We know he is in God's loving arms. That is a pretty good place to be. We are all just sad.

Lissa,
Got you and your bosses family covered in prayer from out here in the Gulf.

Thank you all. I am supposed to get to see him tomorrow. I just hope I can keep from crying.

I'm praying for you today.

Every prayer means so much to me. I always thought of prayer as the last resort, the thing to do when all else has failed. Now I think of it as the first thing you do. Maybe if we start out with prayer we don't need the last resort.

Thank you all for the blessing of your love and prayers. I saw my boss today and found him to be in wonderful spirits. His thoughts were for us and the stress we have been in working without him at our sides. He actually worried that we might worry about our jobs. He is such a kind and generous man.

I was thinking how sad it is that I don't have a picture of my boss. So while we were visiting today, his wife gave each of us a copy of the family portrait that they had done a few weeks ago. God answers our prayers even before they become prayers.

God is so good. I am so fortunate to have worked for him this past year.

Thank you all for your prayers.

Lissa (who can't post from work), passes along this sad message:
my boss lost his battle with Cancer this morning. It has been a very sad morning, but none of us have felt like leaving and going to our lonely homes.

Let's lift up his family and Lissa and her coworkers today.

Thank you all for your prayers. The funeral was today and it was lovely. I cried all the way through it. The church was packed with people who loved him. I cry to easily anyway, but this time my tears were well deserved.

Lissa,

I lift you up in prayer, that your heart may be comforted by Jesus. I also lift up his family & friends that they may know that comfort & seek out the One that provides it.

In is Love

SweetLissa,

I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm praying for you right now.

It never rains but it pours. I was just told that a dear friend of mine back in Reno lost her husband of 42 years last Friday as well. Heaven got two good men that day.

Three strikes. My uncle died yesterday. We weren't close, but I hope you will all lift my mom up in prayer. She is not a believer, and she has a lot of emotional issues. I would pray that this death would serve to bring her closer to her children and ultimately to the Lord. She was never close with anyone in her family and I think she misses the connection.

Gosh this has been a hard hard week.
