I am interested in joining a plural marriage and i know some about this lifestyle, but I am interested in learning more about this lifestyle. If anyone could help me on this subject it would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Kari

Kari,
Welcome to the board. Please read everything you can about the relationships. There is a lot of theology but if you look in the ladies only board you will find a lot of relationship stuff. Also in problems and solutions. I think that as you read these posts it will make you think of more questions. Feel free to ask questions. There is so much that one can't really just start "telling" about the lifestyle. What is important to you? What made you interested? Give us information about yourself and ask for information from us.

I am glad you found us. It seems like more and more people are finding out that Polygamy isn't a sin. That is one of our missions here.

Welcome, Kari.

There is much information in the archives here, from discussions on marriage and Scripture about it, to some of the more practical issues, that will hopefully be of value to you. I find that the "View Active Topics" link, on near the top of the 'Board index' page, is the easiest way to find the threads that are currently most recently updated.

Our Savior says 'ask, and ye will receive'.

Blessings in Him,

Mark

Nice to meet you.

Hello Kari,
I'm also very new. In fact this is my first time on this site. I have a long heritage of poly families. My great great great grandfather, Peter Maughan had 7 wives and 53 children....he was a great man.

My family joined the Mormon church as it is today and fell away from the practise.

My father and mother however, have rejoined the belief of my g-grandfather...and have married my mothers youngest sister, Sharon who is also my aunt and best friend since birth.....they now have a little four year old girl. They are seeking also for wife number three.

I have a testimony of it, yet havent found a family....to be completely honest...I havent been looking, I feel that God will bring me to them and them to me....and since its in our fathers hands....well....I'm not worried.

I decided to join this site to further our Father in Heavens resources.....by letting it out that I am available.....kind of weird huh?

Well, anyways, I'm the eldest of 9 children and I am a single mother of three children. My eldest is 22 then my second eldest is 20 and my son is 18. They are all grown and so that just leaves me....trying to figure out where my Father in Heaven wants me to be...and since I have friends and family that practise, I have come to understand that I can not only bring my gifts to a family, but that I can also assist in fulfilling the true measure of my creation, which is to be a wife and mother, even if not to my own children.

Ok enough about me......
If you want to chat sometime, I will try to make an effort to get on here once in a while.

God Bless all of you who read this....hope its not too long.

Heidi

Hi & Welcome!

I fould it easiest to ask questions face to face, so I went to a retreat. I made some life-long friedships and got all of my questions answered. I hope that you can go to a retreat sometime and get to know everyone in real life.
