I wasn't really sure where to put this post so I hope here will do.

Currently this is our favorite:

Just wondering if any of you have any favorite little kids songs you would like to share. We have a five year old and a 1 1/2 year old and they both really enjoy music so getting some of everyone's favorites would be fun to share with them. :)

The children made a video to show you the version we know. The actions can be made much more energetic if you're not sitting on a couch, you can use your imagination... Click here to view it.

Oh my goodness that was the best! Thank you for sharing!! I laughed out loud (was watching with my Bluetooth) and Slumber just looks over from the computer concerned lol

My kidlets all like music. This is one of their favorite non animated songs.

I like it too!!

I've heard the song "The 4th Man" and of the Statler Brothers, but haven't ever heard the shark song, the colors songs, nor the tractor song. All very cute and fun for kiddos. My passion is to teach anyone who'll let me the many, many Scripture songs (KJV) which I've picked up down through the years from listening to others, and also the large number the Lord has actually given me the music for the verses. Our family sang often since my husband was a preacher. He loved the Southern Gospel songs. My joy was in teaching the children Scripture verses in song. By the time our youngest was 3 he had learned well over 50 Scriptures through song. Every year the students enrolled in the small Christian ACE school learn as many Scripture songs as I can pour into them. This year the students learned a total of 86 verses--not all were to music--some were the monthly block passages, but even some of those were songs, ie: Psalm 1. The students absolutely loved learning the Scripture songs! I'm fervently praying the Lord will show me the best way to get what He has given me to the world. We need to be singing His Scripture back to Him! Our children need to learn Scripture as much as possible in this manner--they never forget it! There's a burning desire to make all the Scripture songs I have available to everyone. It's the best way to "meditate" on a verse and singing the songs through the day makes a world of difference in how the day seems to go. These Scripture songs give you a "song in the night" when nothing else helps. No other type of song carries the promise--"My Word shall not return void". Can you see why I'm so passionate?!? I'd really like to see something happen this summer that lets me launch the project. Any ideas? BTW All of Psalm 1 is a song and Joshua 1:8
Isaiah 55:11
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Psalm 1:2,3
2But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

3And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Joshua 1:8
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

I wish there was a 'love' button instead of just like! I sometimes wake up in the night or morning with a praise song in my head but most of the songs I know aren't actual Bible verses. I've always wondered how some of the Psalms were ever sang lol but I'm not a musically inclined person (not even a bucket can help me carry a tune.) I would love to hear someone put verses to music. What a wonderful way to remember Scripture!

This makes me happy. Statler Brothers and Johnny Cash remind me of my dad. I listened to a lot of that kind of music heading up to the lakes with him and my brother to swim and fish as kids in the summers. :)

Aren't you thankful we're simply told to make a joyful noise unto the Lord. Have you ever thought about just how beautiful and what a sweet smelling savour your singing must sound like in the ears of our beloved Saviour, even though you don't feel like you can "carry a tune in a bucket"?! Bless you dear sister! :)

Psalms 98:4
Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

Psalms 95:1
O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.

Psalms 100:1
Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.

What if you did videos of each scripture song? I know I for one would use them to teach my kiddos. I’m sure many more would too. What an amazing gift you have been given. Thank you for sharing it with others.

As for sharing it with the world? I’m thinking a you tube scripture song channel!?

I'm too old. We had a portable turntable to play our 45s
I grew up on my parents music, and it was lp (long playing) records, and 45's.
I grew up on Disney too, but those were also l.p. records with about a dozen large color pictures in a "book" the size of the record jacket.
Given that I don't like much modern music (or movies) I'd rather have a turntable now then an ipod.

I can carry a tune as the saying goes, but have many extended family members who "couldn't carry a tune in a bucket."

I LOVE to hear others sing from the heart, even if they couldn't make a living doing it. I really hate that many compare their own ability to professionals, and will say they "can't" do whatever.

I am also impressed with the voice some of those family members I mentioned have developed. I think the limiting factors in what any of us can do is desire, faith and persistence , not natural ability.

So SING! Make that joyful noise! :D:)
You may go much farther then you even think is possible. Truly!
