Macho Jesus

I kinda like it. Most people think about Jesus in his first coming: The baby in the manger, the forgiving teacher or the sacrificial lamb on the cross. Were way closer to his second coming. Visualizing Jesus according to Revelations 1:14 – 16 and Revelations 19:11 – 16 may just cause us to walk a little more circumspectly.

Considering the punishment He survived to be hung on a tree I think He must have had a little "beef" to Him. It seems there is no end to religious gimmicks... He looks a little cross-eyed to me in that picture...hope He fares better that "Touchdown Jesus" did...

But while you might expect this thinking to flourish in the American South, it's probably more surprising that it's gaining ground in the UK.

According to recent polls, the ratio of women to men worshippers in this country is 65% to 35% – and too much girliness is getting the blame for the gender imbalance.
it will be interesting to see if patriarchy will be considered macho.

65% female worshippers to 35% male worshippers makes a rough 2 to 1 ratio. Sounds like a very familiar argument for patriarchy and polygyny to allow all worshippers a chance to be evenly yoked....just saying.
