The Guru to whom I'm the Grasshopper forwarded me this link today, and I found it to be coherent, engaging and informative, so I thought I would share it here for potential discussion. My only quibble is that Mr. McDonald falls into the common snare about tribalism, succumbing to the canard promoted by Statists and Postmodernists alike that Tribalism is Bad. Otherwise, I consider this spot-on:

I was thinking about the neutralizing of both the masculine and the feminine and I started getting a visualization of artists painting with nothing but neutral colors.
Now that would be fine for some paintings, but would quickly become uninteresting as compared to the real world.

Masculinity and femininity are the colors that make relationships vibrant and beautiful.

Toxic feminism is the answer to the problem of toxic masculinity.

Toxic masculinity began with Adam not taking responsibility and then the fall occurred.

we have accelerated on mass, to toxic feminists that have been given an inch of rope and have taken a mile, then it has been commercialised it sold it on mass to a generation that have then gone on to hang themselves with the rope of freedom they purchased with the price of knowing there true identity.

That was a lack of masculinity, you might want to watch the video.

It’s funny how feminists are more masculine than beta males.

I watched
I don’t agree with everything
lack of masculinity or to much has the same effect as far as I can see

To suggest that the breakdown is the result of the feminine failure seems to much like Adam’s line
“ it’s the woman the you gave me”
That’s just my opinion

My comment is an answer to Keith’s Question not the video

@MrB, thanks for your participation in the thread.

Taking your comments at face value to be an answer to my question, are you saying that men and women both came first? I'm enjoying watching the tallies and laugh at the juxtaposition of the responses, whether responders are taking the poll question to be a matter of chronological order or degree of responsibility, as you appear to be doing, demonstrating that folks' most common responses are Chicken and Man. This will probably eventually inspire me to do some deep diving into Genesis to reconcile how the female fowl preceded the male fowl (and we all know the female human Eve was extracted from the previously-hermaphroditic Adam, rendering him male in advance of Eve's femaleness while Yah was still forming her with some additional dust).

Anyway, on a more serious note, please allow me to challenge some of what you've written:

lack of masculinity or to much has the same effect as far as I can see
I have a hard time recognizing how there can truthfully be such a thing as 'too much' masculinity. Isn't falling into that trap a matter of equating masculinity and failure to control violent impulses (which, by the way, females are statistically more prone to exhibit than are males)?

Toxic feminism is the answer to the problem of toxic masculinity.
Personal opinion: the phrase 'toxic feminism' is redundant, just as 'toxic masculinity' would be redundant if it were a thing. The two are not comparable. 'Toxic masculinity' would pair up with 'toxic femininity.' 'Feminism' would pair up with 'masculinism,' which could potentially become a thing if the red-pill men's movement morphs into something that entirely mirrors feminism. Feminism is a purposeful movement to assert that being female is a superior alternative to being male but that females have been craftily held back by males, even though the males are inferior. 'Feminism' and 'femininity' have never been identical, and, as feminism has developed, it has become decreasingly feminine and increasingly characterized by a form of unpleasant warped perverted masculinity.

Secondly, I do get that it's tempting to label what Adam did during the Fall as toxic masculinity, but it's much more accurate to label it temporary insufficient masculinity. Thirdly, it's also tempting to assign eventual blame for feminism to Adam's insufficient masculinity in Eden, but I believe Yah already assigned what He believed to be the perfect punishments for Adam and Eve's disobedience -- which means that feminism is instead a much more recent effort on the part of some human beings to challenge Yah's punishment, biological imperatives and human nature itself. I dispute that there is even such a thing as toxic masculinity but will agree that insufficient masculinity has come into play related to feminism; however, its manifestation has mostly occurred in the wake of feminism's and other postmodern critical theories' implementations. Men in general did not wake up to the dangers posed by progressivism, and we certainly knuckled under far too easily when postmodern feminism reared its head in the early 1970s, but that has nothing to do with so-called toxic masculinity, which is just as much fake news as the promotion of white supremacism having some kind of hold on our culture.

So, masculinity failed to some degree as feminism initiated the process that has led to our current state of affairs. If we want to turn this around, though, we have to properly assess the actual problems and keep even those problems in perspective. First, we're really just talking about a 50-year lack of sufficient masculinity that was preceded by about 100 years of a relatively minor number of people beating the progressivist drums. 50 years is really nothing in the overall scheme of human history, and I'm considerably proud of men in general that they have in earnest already begun to significantly assess the problem and design corrections that will eventually bear fruit. The progressives have made no such assessment and remain committed to collapsing our culture. As such, the weak men and, unfortunately, the easy majority of women who remain firmly identified as feminists (I predict the stealth feminists who deny being feminists will be the last to escape its shackles) are the appropriate target audience for being taught how they are continuing to sow the seeds of cultural and spiritual destruction. Men are waking up, but women are, for the most part (of course with exceptions that simply prove the rule) are continuing to promote the tenets of feminism and demand ever-expanding entitlements and privileges while shouldering ever-diminishing responsibilities.

To suggest that the breakdown is the result of the feminine failure seems too much like Adam’s line
“ it’s the woman that you gave me”

I can also understand assigning equivalence to the two, but for them to be equivalent, Adam would have had to have come around after taking a bite, recognized his abdication, refused the fig leaf, assessed what he needed to change to correct the disobedience, and then proactively contacted Yah to report his error and be willing to not only take direction from Yah in response to his entreaties but tenaciously address the situation with Eve until the conditions that led up to the disobedience were entirely corrected. This, to me, is more analogous to the situation we face in 2022. Of course, we have two things neither Adam nor Eve had back then: hindsight; and the benefit of what was learned from eating the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. [In my own life, it seems like I've inflicted upon myself having to play every role in the modern drama, and I can promise you the result is that the part about being tenacious in correction is greatly amplified as a result of my early-on insistence on being a weak male.]

I can't with a straight face claim that most men have already begun embracing strong masculinity, but a significant number already have, and that's been resulting in a whittling away of the power of feminism. I therefore believe it's a snare to succumb to the temptation to white knight women in general by either providing them exemptions for their behavior or attempting to justify that behavior with false equivalencies in male behavior. The majority of women continue to push feminist dogma (much of which is so pernicious that it lies in the background of even the most pious Christian female expressions, especially in mainstream denominations), so it is incumbent upon us as men in regard to avoiding insufficient masculinity that we continue to confront our women for the manner in which they continue to drag down the culture rather than worry too much about whether their fair-skinned sensibilities will be hurt or offended, being willing to take the slings and arrows of being labeled with names like 'misogynist' along the way.

Adam and Eve only understood the concept of right and wrong after they had eaten the fruit. That's what no one understands..

*But I am sure that most people would eat the fruit. The feeling of curiosity is very great.

Except that Adam was told to not eat of that tree by Yah, so he already knew that eating of it was wrong and abstaining from eating of it was right.
