Interesting article. Yip, we could definitely pull it apart, but what I find interesting is sentences like this - "A man who marries a lot displays a generosity of heart, soul and spirit that is only to be commended in our cynical age."
I wonder what the author of this would think about men who had been married multiple times and were still married to and supporting all of them?

I don't think she'd be supportive, because it splits the amount of support she gets. Her motives primarily revolve around envy.

Although, if the author is this Rowen Pelling, I must note she is a British satirist and comedian. I would be careful to take anything at face value.

A man who marries a lot displays a generosity of heart, soul and spirit that is only to be commended in our cynical age. I find few things more dispiriting than the kind of bloke who refuses to wed his long-term partner, even though she's the mother of his children, because he would go to any lengths to avoid sharing his assets.

It's like the kid who has a clutch of expensive toys but won't let any other child play with them.

In my own circle some of the kindest and most attractive men march under the much-wed banner. What's remarkable is how hard they have all worked to make reparations to the previous wives and older children: admitting to bad behaviour and never grudging the frequent stream of payments their ceaseless quest for wedded love has cost them.

This article is odd in its praise for marrying men. This is yet more evidence that the move to eschew formal marriage or relations with women altogether seems to be growing. Yet even though she has a grasp of the issue, she still fails to understand it or be charitable towards those who avoid it. At least if I read the article straight.

It is funny. When you know God's strandard you can read something like the above article and think to yourself, "You are close! You almost got it right!" :)

Those of us that are truly enlightened think that way about everyone! :p
(Lol I would use other emotis if I could see em...I remember how to type this one)

Seriously though, I usually have questions I'd like to ask anyone who "preaches" on a topic, or has a video presentation.
I dislike church for the same reason I dislike anyone who will not answer or field questions about their "sermons." It is insulting and cowardly to claim superior knowlege that you are unwilling to explain and discuss. Imo
