Just a note for newbies: when you are typing a comment it tells you right above the area how many more characters you can type before getting cut off. Deanne said it is not 100% accurate so it is best to leave yourself about 50 characters before "entering" your commment. It is nice to see when others are typing also. It makes the waiting worth it. :-)

Hey there!

Would love to join the chat, however for whatever reason I still cannot get into the live ladies chat room! :( I'm going to the site provided and entering the correct info. When I then hit the connect button, it just goes to a completely black screen. Any help or tips would be appreciated. Thanks & God bless. Hope to catch up with you all soon! :)

Nathan said that you need to make sure your computer has JAVA. That is what the chat room is run on. I am surprised it didn't ask you if you wanted to download it when you were trying to sign on. I guess it isn't that "smart' of a chat room. :-) Nathan said that you should be able to find it for free online and download it. I am sorry that I didn't remember to give you this information before last nights chat. I am also mad at myself for not remembering AGAIN about the chat night. Would you believe that I thought of it at 7 pm my time and then got distracted with kids and stuff. I couldn't believe it! I will have to put an alarm on my phone or something.

I hope all who did participate had a nice chat. I will DEFINITELY be there next week. And hopefully FS also!

Thanks much for getting back with me, and for all your helpful info! :D I will double check with my dh, but I think we did download Java once before. I say that b/c I've been able to get into the new chat room a few times before. It already has by user name & other info. However this laptop that we use is getting rather old, and has been acting up quite a bit lately. So again, I'll have dh check into the situation. No biggie, sure we'll work it out soon.

As far as being busy with our kiddos and household duties, it's so easy to become distracted in other areas. I can surely relate! :lol: Oh well, maybe Yeshua has just wanted us focused on our families & not on the computer so much? ;) I know that He speaks to me in many ways, one being not allowing my computer to work at certain times, and re-focusing my attention elsewhere where I'm needed more. Well take care Julie, I look forward to connecting with you as time permits.
