Hi, y'all!
Greetings from somewhere near Gallup, NM, the Indian Capitol of the World!
I was an assistant pastor until, during a conversation with my (now former) pastor, I said, "The Bible does not teach that it is a sin for a man to have more than one wife." After firing me, he said he would reinstate me if I recanted that statement. When he couldn't tell me where the Bible says it's wrong, I said I could not recant truth, and was given "the left foot of fellowship."
Hopefully, the Lord will lead me into another place of service, preferably in pastoral ministry somewhere close to Gallup. I am ordained (by a non-denominational seminary) and have a Dr. of Divinity. I will soon have a Th.D. if all goes well. (Researching and studying for the dissertation is what led me to truth about Biblical Polygyny.)
I have two daughters (both married) and 8 grandkids. My first wife, who left me a few years after I became serious about my relationship with the Lord (and after almost 25 years of marriage,) is the mother of my daughters. She is now married (in the eyes of the government and most churches) to another man and so reconciliation to the point of re-establishing our failed marriage is not possible.
This "paleface" is married to a lovely Navajo princess who loves the Lord even more than I! She is having a difficult time accepting what I have learned about PM, but is slowly opening up to at least discussing it.
Are there any of you who might live close enough to form a fellowship group in the Gallup area?
