Hi Y'all, I'm new to this website. Over a year ago, I began investigating the notion of plural family. I believe it is biblically sound yet society judges those who believe harshly. I am a 53 year old christian West Indian American professional. I was married to what I believed was a christian but he turned into something else. After three long years, we divorced. I have been dating for the past 6 years with no luck. I know that a man who takes on a second or third or fourth wife must have a solid foundation in Christ because he has to be patient, considerate as well as have a shepherd's heart.
Most of my life I felt a need to be in a community or live with sister-friends etc. Now that I am a single mom, I see the need for support from a community of believers.
So why am I a single mom? It has been by choice. I prayed and fasted for the Lords direction when I was seeking to be a mother and was not married or even dating any one. Through His mighty hand and medical science I conceives a beautiful baby boy. He is four years old now and fully know and somewhat understands that he is a product of a donor. The donor is anonymous until my son is 18.
