Reading this post brought an immediate picture to my mind's eye. In my part of Arizona, we have many small mountains. I have enjoyed climbing some of them. As I start the slope it is easy and pleasant, but the further I climb the more difficult it becomes. I am wearied because of the trail already traversed and now every step increases in altitude. The peak is in sight, but it is harder to finish the last mile. As I take the last few steps and behold the vast horizon of the desert from the summit, the exultation from the view before me, makes the weariness of the climb seem as nothing. How sad it is that there have been times when I did not give that last measure of effort to make it to the top. Missing out on the view was a disappointment that lasted for days. Pretty Tulips, your post encourages me to keep making the effort to climb to the goal. The blessing of the view from the top will be worth it, in so many areas of life,
Thanks, John
