Polygamy Podcasts

MY wife has gotten into podcasts, so naturally I checked them out. If you are not familiar with podcasts, they are basically audio files, often like radio broadcasts that are released periodically and you can listen to them on your own time and not when they are "on air" like in radio.

So naturally I searched for what was available concerning the subject of polygamy. It is fairly sparse. I only saw threee that really that stood out.

The best one seems to be "Year of Polygamy" (https://www.yearofpolygamy.com/). The emphasis is on Mormon polygamy but it seems to have an even handed informative non-judgemental style that stands out.

The second one is the National Polygamy Advocate podcast by Mark Henkel (https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/national-polygamy-advocate/id1362165675?mt=2). It seems to publish pretty regularly, but all of the broadcasts seem to be re-broadcasts of previous media interviews by Mark, so I am not sure how much new information is in each one.

The last one is "Polygamy: What Love is This?" by a Doris Hanson (http://www.whatloveisthis.tv/index.htm). This is an anti-polygamy podcast specifically targeting Mormon fundementalist polygamy by a Christian ministry called "A Shield and Refuge Ministry" (http://www.shieldandrefuge.org/).

Note: "The Sports Polygamy" podcast is not at all about polygamy. It is about loving more than one sport. Just FYI.

Fact: If we are convinced of this truth and how it benefits the Body, then we must find ways to share it, even if others prefer not to hear. Already in the works from this forum are articles, YouTube videos, memes, etc.... why not podcasts?

The host, Chris, will be PMing many of us to arrange a phone interview telling our stories, truth we are learning, etc....

This is my vote for podcasts. The audience in the Audible space can actually be bigger, and more profitable, than on Youtube.
 
Agreed. Tons of topics that can be discussed with myriad guests. Can even stick to the pen names on Biblical Families for those that do not want to be identified.

One thing to keep in mind is that many podcasts and YouTube channels go hand and hand...

Simply filming the recording of the podcast from a couple angles in a decent setting / surrounding / studio with some good Feng shui to properly accent @cnystrom sexy face ... and boom baby... two birds, one stone !

It's a big undertaking. Count the cost, bro. But a pretty exciting possibility....
 
For the record I’m still very much planning to get back into YouTube and podcast it as soon as the Lord moves it to happen... I enjoyed it very much when I was heavily involved in ministry and am excited to get back on that internet horse ... this time to specifically promote patriarchy, and of course polygyny... with some focus on “hubby skills” and “hardcore dadding”!

Mark doesn't focus on polygamy, but mentions it from time to time when he's discussing a relevant Torah portion. You'd have to dig through many hours of very long audio files to find his discussions on this topic specifically. Of course, if you contacted him directly he might be able to send you the most relevant content.

I was looking at the list of episodes, and episodes 1108-1110, ("Christian" polygamy pts 1-3) caught my eye. I've listened to part 1.

The Biblical Families website is mentioned by name.

It seems like the kind of thing we could respond to (respectfully, of course), individually or with a group response. I'd put her debate skill at intermediate; well informed, but she still makes some pretty obvious errors.
