Are there any Catholics (or folks with Catholic background) actively commenting here? I am curious to hear your take on this change and the propaganda being used to push this. What is going on? How often do changes of this significance happen to the catechism?
I do not envy the position of lay Catholics these days. Francis seems to be really pushing changes to doctrine and outward stance while refusing to deal with the dark problems within. I'm seeing a lot of traditionalist Catholics having a hard time with this new administration.
No, this is not an invitation to refight the Reformation or get lost in the weeds of a debate on the death penalty. I'm more interested in the grassroots catholic view of this or any thoughts non-Catholics have about the underground machinations driving this.
