Prayers needed

Please pray that a steady income will come into our household. Unemployment income is so low we are way behind on rent and bills.

If you now of any sources that helps with rent please contact me right away.. Praise God that our landlord has been lenient.

I have been there and understand. Lean on Him and pray diligently that you know what His will is for you.

For us, my lay off was the "sign" that we were waiting too long/ignoring on the Lord's clear instruction to move to where we are now; which happens to have rent at 1/4th of what we had before.
---- And yes I know, it is a wicked and adulterous generation that asks for a sign as my christian coworker, who also was laid off at the same time as I was, stated as we were packing up our offices. He was dragging his feet on his calling to go into ministry, so it was a two sided thing. He now is serving in rural Mexico.
So because of us, 12 people lost their jobs that day, And then 18 months later the company that had been fine for 50 years no longer exists with 250 people without jobs; All because we hesitated on His instructions for our lives. I say that qualifies for wicked for me. :(

Anyway, while going through this 'trial' take time to pray that you know what He wants you to do. This could be the tool He is using to direct your path, as painful as it is at the moment.

Rom 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Do not take that guilt on your shoulders. God had plans for every one of those people. Guilt is not from God and you should caste that thing into the fiery pit of hell where it came from.

I remember back in 2001 I had been working for a hotel/casino for close to 5 years. I hated my job and my boss was a liar and not a nice man. He treated me like I was invisible. I absolutely did not want to go to work each day. On 2/1/01 I was accused of stealing and asked to resign. I hated that even worse.

But, God moved me when he wanted to move me. I got an awesome job later that year and stayed with that employer until I moved to Texas. God is good and he always comes through for us.

PREACH IT, LISSA!

T-C's: The devil is the accuser of the brethren, Rev 12:10. day and night. You don't owe him agreement or courtesy or nuthin! Step on his tail with your tallest, thinnest stiletto heels!

The Holy Spirit, au contraire, says, "Hey, daughter, the Path is back here. Come walk on it with me," (Is 30:21, Cecil's paraphrase). That's all. Any jumping on YOUR hide just ain't His way atall!

Stacie:

Can't offer bucks at the moment, as we are in a similar bind. But it isn't new for us, having happened several times over the last 10 years of looking to God for what is next.

This I can offer by way of experience: Plant a prayer carefully. Ask Him to provide all your needs from His wealth and generosity. State your willingness to work and/or relocate and/or change careers as He sees fit.

Be sure to prepare the ground first for your prayer. That involves four conditions to my knowledge and experience:
a) Forgive, as best you know how, everyone against whom you hold a grudge. Ask Him to bring any obstructions to yur mind.
b) Confess your faults and sins to Him, again asking Him to bring any to mind that need dealing with.
c) Claim Jesus/Yeshua as your Master, Savior, and Provider, out loud. Make sure no demons can claim you've not actually SAID it.
d) Commit to following any clear instruction and accepting any clear truth into which He leads you.

Having done these 4, specifically, it is time to plant your prayer, knowing that it WILL be heard, and that once heard, you will receive and already have title to the answer.

My experience is that at this point, you QUIT praying for it. To do so again is to proclaim that you weren't REALLY heard, and answered the first time. It is like pulling up your seed to see how it is doing, then replanting it. Great strategy.

Instead, begin loudly, and frequently, and confidently giving thanks that you have what is needed. It is yours and it is on it's way. I'm not saying to make an idiot of yourself at church. I'm not advocating "Name it and claim it" theology for a new Mercedes 500 SEL convertible. I'm talking about those things which He HAS promised ... that your actual needs will be met. Truthfully, I tend to do it in the privacy of my home office, and tell most others nothing much except that help is on the way.

And I do hereby testify that He does, HE DOES come through.

Oh, 5th condition for preparing the ground.... Pay tithe, no matter whether you can afford it or not. Some disagree, and that's their right. In my experience, if you don't, Malachi 3 gives the devil an opening to jerk your finances around, contrary to God's intent. Ya gotta keep that door slammed shut! And if you do, God is free to start tossing blessings of various sorts out of those heavenly windows!

Ok, that's my 2 cents. *grin*

Thank you to all... Its all we can do right now :(

And
This is the hard part...
God may be moving you. Be open and receptive to him. Listen for his voice to show you clarity through this time. What Satan means for evil, God means for good and that can mean even know when it seems the darkest.

Losing my job at that casino left me feeling scared and insecure. When I called my pastor that day, she told me to start rejoicing and praising the Lord. I didn't see how we would make it through because mine was the income that was steady and had the benefits attached. God moved me and I never missed a meal, a mortgage payment or a car payment. I ended up with benefits that were far better than what I had left and life went on.

True. -and Thank you, But when one, such as myself, realizes that you were not walking in the path He had told you to, repeatedly, I have to be honest in confessing that 'sin'. I was laid off not because of economic issues (although they were there even in June '07) but due to the fact that we did not act on faith to follow what we were to told to do - so I was not an innocent bystander T-boned by the world's economy. I know that if we had acted in faith, instead of waiting for God to kick us out of the nest so to say, that company would not have had to have those lay offs on that day. Sin has consequences beyond the threat of hell and ones own life, my sin effects those around me. My sin lead to 12 people being laid off from a homebuilding company in southern California, 4 of whom had already been laid off once before less than a year previous, so they didn't even have much in the way of unemployment insurance to lean upon.

My point of my original post was to show that there can be a purpose for these difficulties, but not only to reveal wrong as was in my case, perhaps through which a great blessing could be provided.
So for us as a family the blessings we received through my job loss was #1- getting back on the path, and #2- learning that it is a lot easier to trust in Him than to have Him prove His point to you.
- -Hopefully You're blessings will be sevenfold that.

Stacie,

I'll be praying for you. You said "Praise God our landlord has been lenient." Keep on praising God like that even though things are difficult and, He will keep blessing you. I have to constantly remind myself of this, too. I don't always praise Him like I should when times are difficult. Thanks for inspiring me to remember that.

Thank you everyone for your blessings..

God is great! Chuck passed his final so now begins the job search.. Praying that one will some soon.

Let's agree together that God will bring him to the right one:

"Heavenly Father, I pray for Chuck right now, and ask that you make his path straight to the place you want him to be. You have already prepared a place for him. I ask you to let it be aplace where he can be productive, be fulfilled, and put to use his best talents to provide for his well-being, and to be able to give into your Kingdom. In Jesus' Name, Amen"

Blessings,
