Princess Bride-I finally saw it

it was a couple of months ago, the movie “Princess Bride” was brought up and many phrases were used that I didn’t get. I had never seen the movie. I just finished watching the movie for the first time. I laughed a lot. Now I understand “prepare to die!” Lol

I'm glad to hear you finally made it over to our side. Lol

Other lines that I can recall easily.

As you wish.

No more rhyming and I mean it!
Anybody want a peanut?

I didnt mean to jog him so hard.

My way's not very sportsman like.

Inconcievable!

Yay!

I am very pleased with the movie's lack of any indecency in dress. They had such opportunity for lewdness, it makes me wonder if there was someone with actual standards behind the scenes (so rare, though a basic expectation).

I also appreciate a portrayal of an avenger of blood without all the condescending pagan commentary, apart from the somewhat joking aside: "I have been in the revenge business for so long, now that it's over, I don't know what to do with the rest of my life."

Still, comedic as it is meant to be, Wesley basically being a mass murderer is not so much of a "pro".

Some more favorite lines are:

"We'll never survive!"
"Nonsense. You're only saying that because no one ever has."

"Then why didn't you list that among our assets in the first place?"

"Yes, yes. You're very smart. Shut up."

"Nobody's hearing nothing!"

And stepping through a door saying "Hey!" and patting all your pockets saying "Okay... okay... okay...".

Forget the lines....Andre the Giant (RIP) was my favorite part of Princess Bride.

You've gotta watch Blazing Saddles. It's so unPC, that even if you don't like it, it's a protest watch and worth it...."Hey, where the White women at?..."

We love The Princess Bride here in our household, but we probably love Groundhog Day even more -- and my favorite movie of all time is A Room with a View. I saw it 28 times in the theater. Every moment has some gem imbedded in it.

Found this about The Princess Bride.. had to share :)
