Want to have a little "fun"? If you are following any of your youngish nieces, cousins, acquaintances, sisters, or heaven forbid...daughters on Instagram, go to "following" section and see what they have been liking. Its "pride" month and what you may see may shock you. This I know cause not just me but someone even today (who is a pastor) said his nieces likes were quite disappointing. I've brought up before the gay worship culture amoung American females and if you need any evidence just log into Instagram. Women are eat up with liberalism and the lgbtqrstuv agenda. They are their best agents. It may disturb you though and young women in particular you thought were quite conservative may be gawking over pics of gay dudes making out. Yuck.

“Come out of her my people” like Lot out of sodom, don’t look back!

I have been shocked by some of the pro choice posts that have been shared by my nieces. I had to unfollow a cousin once on Facebook because I couldn't stomach all the gushy praise and support she offered the gay and transgendered.

I think people get desensitized to the evil bit by bit ....like boiling the frog slowly.

The other thing I see is that calling things that are not equal by the same name causes people to lose track of the original meaning. Specifically I think about "law" a lot.
YHWH reserved the ability to make law to Himself, not even letting Israelite kings make law. When man makes up rules like a speed limit, and it gets called a law it diminishes the importance of laws against murder....something that is REAL LAW because YHWH commanded "Thou shalt not murder." After many years of making laws so called about everything, people soon start thinking no more of killing the unborn as they do speeding. Not all people of course, but too many.

Simon Says is a fun game for kids. Man made laws are like the trip up line that makes losers in Simon Says because there really is no authority behind anything YHWH has not spoken.

Cleaner than I was, does that count?

I confess, I am unclean:oops:
I confess also....but shucks, women are unclean frequently and regularly anyways.
I rarely get on Facebook. There is one 9 year old profile pic. I did send apple scions this year to someone from Facebook... there is a scion exchange group....and a group called persimmon world.
Years ago I found a private group called "birthing multiples naturally" I still like reading birth stories there and seeing pictures of babies. Homebirth has come a long ways since I was born!
I like some stuff that is uplifting, and like sharing some stuff that's sad...like stories of vaccine injured/killed children.

My people perish for lack of knowlege.

But many don't want to know.

I am basically Facebook free. I have a Facebook account, but log in maybe once every month or so when I am specifically searching for someone's contact details, or arranging a real-world meetup with people who prefer to do so in a Facebook conversation.
And Sarah's still connected to that mess so if there's any interesting news she lets me know... But gradual disengagement needs to be the goal in the long term. It's just not always practical when others are using the platform to organise things you're involved in.

When you leave totally you really do feel like an outsider. In your position you really do have a use for it. For me it was just a time waster. I figured I would just leave completely because the fewer people there are on there the less power Facebook has haha. I’m just one small fish, but I’m doing my part to bring it down

Me too

As a business owner today fb is one of the largest marketing tools there is. I would love for things to return to the way they were but I can't reach people without social media.
Social media is a 'must' for some types of businesses or ministries.. got to go where the people are.

The key is to post and run. -Not get stuck endlessly scrolling through everyone's drivel.

I left FB 8 or 9 years ago, but have Instagram to keep up with kids and a few friends. Honestly, I dislike that, but at times it is a necessary evil...

I originally signed up for Facebook because a lot of my family were on there and that was how they shared updates and pictures. It turned out to be a bum deal for them because I don't reciprocate. Lol

Since we don't watch TV at all it gives me a glimpse at what is going on in the world we really aren't a part of. Sometimes I voice my "outsider" opinion.

I'm pretty sure if we were part of a social circle....accepted by a "church family" and all that .....we probably would be more caught up in what's happening now and less interested in theology, history and prophesy.
I'd rather have knowlege and opinions that bolster my faith then be aware of the latest "rising star" in the pop music culture, or holy wood.
It's really awesome when your kids grow up interested in what you are interested in....because you raised them instead of letting time spent with other teachers and peers be the dominate influence.
