Revelation 3:3 and Matthew 24:36, do we know or not?

Hello.

God's word, as a whole, is never in conflict with any of its parts.

But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. ==> refers to end times or second coming?
Matthew 24:36

Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; obey it, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you. ==> still refers to end times or second coming?
Revelation 3:3

What if we have received, heard, obeyed, repented, woke up, and watched, will the time be revealed to us?

Thanks.

We might.

After it happens is the only time that we will know for sure what we knew and when we knew it. YHWH is kinda funny that way, so much of prophecy is best understood after-the-fact. Warnings are always to be heeded, of course!

One of my favorite stories about prophecy was Jonah being sent to Nineveh to tell them of their coming destruction. He did not want to go and had some adventures on the way. When he got there he walked to the center of the city and, apparently, made one pronouncement of judgment. He then proceeded to go out to a vantage point to watch them get creamed. They repented. YHWH stayed His hand. Jonah whined.
But it seems that the repentance wore off over the course of 345 years and the judgment fell at that time.

The woods are full of "Jonah" know-it-aiis who are sure that they know what YHWH is going to do.
I am personally very conflicted because I know that I am a know-it-all who knows that I do NOT know it all. ;)
