Seeking a sister wife in Uk

Hi guys
We are family, husband and wife and one child living at home (four others older and living independently)
We live in the UK and are finding it impossible to find groups or like minded people. Any advice would be most welcome. We both feel called by the Lord to add a wife to our family. Praise God there is a lady out there perfect for our family.

Just to say, I know this isn’t a kinda dating site so I’m just asking for advice of communities near us and to interact with likeminded people. Every plural family started somewhere right?

Hi, Hales, and welcome aboard!

You are correct, this is not a dating site. And while we sponsor retreats and meetups every few months around the States (not for dating or matchmaking, but just to hang out with people we like and enjoy the felloship), we are scattered far and wide, and there isn't really a critical mass of like-minded believers anywhere on the ground that we know of, here or abroad.

This discussion forum is our way of staying in touch between meetings and with people we may never meet IRL. Please feel free to join us here for some cyber-fellowship while you continue to look for like-minded folks in your part of the world.

Welcome!

Hello from Ireland!
I would also like to find like-minded people in this country: not sure how successful I'll be with so much Catholic influence, but there are a lot of people from other countries here as well.

Welcome Hales! Hope we can be of some support.

It’s just extremely hard to find like minded people here. I’m sure there must be communities who live this way but I guess they are hidden.

I know of absolutely no one who lives the lifestyle and when I’ve mentioned it to others I’ve been met with scorn or total unbelief!

Yes, as you no doubt read in my introduction: deleted from one forum, obscenely mocked in another. I wonder who would know about the hidden communities, if there were connected ones at all.
It may simply be the legal side of it that really has people shut up. Few have really tried to imagine it fully legal.
People campaign for legalization of many things that are illegal (rightly or wrongly), but someone really needs to step up and campaign for the full legalization of biblical polygyny. Then one might be able to meet others through that movement and have support at least, even if it takes a long time to bear any other fruit.

Yes I agree.
There do seem to be communities of Muslim PM families and it seems to be
more acceptable to the masses in that religion. Although there is one “legal” wife the others are married under sharia law from what I understand.
This does seem a way forward for us as Christians. A state recognised marriage and then others under God? I mean if it was more common place I guess people could be more open to accepting it. Who knows. All we can do is pray and just keep pressing on.

Too soon for that. Law follows culture. Unless you control the media and can artificially change the culture ahead of your legal push, you have to first build up a grassroots of support.

^^ This. ^^
