These relate to Sabbath, Mark of the Beast, etc. Seem well done and thought provoking. Possibly life changing.

Enjoy!

"There's no doubt about it, we are not your typical Church. We do not gather together to be entertained by rock musicians, magicians, clowns and puppet shows, or to engage in idle gossip or worldly discussions."

They don't sound like much fun... ; )

I searched their entire site for anything about polygamy but couldn't find anything, so I sent them this message:

"I searched your entire site and found nothing on polygamy. I have done considerable research and found that it is not sinful for a man to have more than one wife. In fact
2 Ch 24:2-3 And Joash did what was right in the eyes of the LORD all the days of Jehoiada the priest. Jehoiada got for him two wives, and he had sons and daughters.
seems to support that it was right in the eyes of the Lord for him to have two wives. I cannot find a verse where a man repents for having more than one wife, where a prophet confronts a man for having more than one wife, or where God commands a man to have only one wife.
Where does your church stand on this matter?"

I'll let you know if they answer me.

Dunno about the whole site. Or series of sites. But those few videos had impressed me.

Well they answered me...and their answer isn't surprising...makes me wonder about their other theological claims...

"Thank you for pointing out that we failed to address the issue of polygamy. We will be sure to update our Statement of Beliefs to reflect our position.

Genesis 2:21-24 says:

And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and He took “one” of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; 22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he “a” woman, and brought her unto the man. 23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman , because she was taken out of Man. 24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his “wife”: and they shall be one flesh.

As you can see, God took only “one” rib from Adam’s side and with it He made “one” woman. In this, God created only “one” wife for Adam. You can see that all the Biblical references are in singular form. We believe God created all things perfectly? Like bee's are for flowers, flowers open to the Sun, bunnies eat grass, fish swim... birds fly, etc. I am sure you will agree that you see God's wisdom in how He fashioned His creation. If this is the case, then you must agree that what God did in creation week, man cannot improve upon.

You will notice in 1st Timothy 3 where God gives explicit instruction and qualification to serves as a Pastor/Bishop or a Deacon in His church. If in fact, multiple wives is acceptable to God and deemed to be right, why would He disqualify those with more than one wife from serving in leadership positions.

After seeing how the custom of multiple wives destroyed men and oftentimes complete nations, you must also agree that stepping outside of the Creator's will in and how He created all things to co-exist would be wrong to do.

I hope this is helpful,

In Christ,

Hmmm. Sounded to me more like a "I've never really considered THIS issue, but this is what I figure" statement to me.

But being wrong on one issue he hasn't studied doesn't make him wrong on others that he has.

(Update 2 hours later) Just got off the phone with the Pastor. Expect to see him around here (BF) in the near future. We caught his interest. Unsurprisingly to me (having met him), he said, "I'm gonna study this now in depth. And if it is right, we'll say so on our website, and make videos about it."

In the meantime, I still maintain that the videos mentioned at the beginning of this thread are extremely well done and worthwhile watching.

That's very interesting! It would be nice for a change to see an organization realize the truth, and would tend to lend to their credibility in my opinion. I am looking forward to a positive update soon.
