In the bible God says that my people are destroyed for lack of knowlege and because they rejected knowledge he will reject them. There is also a concept in Eze 14 about being open to His truth by asking without stumbling blocks. If one is not open to his truth in all things, he will simply just reinforce what we hold sacred and that is not good. Sort of an error locking..

STEPHEN MENTIONS THIS STAR IN ACTS 7

"Then God turned, and gave them up to WORSHIP THE HOST OF HEAVEN; as it is written in the book of the prophets, O ye house of Israel, have ye offered to me slain beasts and sacrifices by the space of FORTY YEARS IN THE WILDERNESS? Yea, ye took up THE TABERNACLE OF MOLOCH, AND THE STAR OF YOUR GOD REMPHAN, figures which ye made to worship them..." (Acts 7:42-43)

Stephen was killed for saying that !!! For speaking the truth !!!

Why would Jews or Christians want to use that as their symbol?

I think a better symbol, if I had to use one would be the olive tree which is used to signify the Israel of God, the spiritual one..

I know many would find this interesting but I don't want to rock the boat too much, after all we have many things in common..

Hi Cubanito,

I have studied this same thing for a long time and ask myself the same thing. Is this symbol appropriate. It is one of those paganizations of christianity that make me crazy! Much of this stuff comes from Kabballah and talmudic stuff.

The traditions of man dictate many wicked things.. This is just a small icon but important if we want to purge our lives of bad leaven or error. I wouldn't want to wear a 666 hex on my things.
All of us have stumbling blocks and are in different stages, the thing we are supposed to try is to purge ourselves of them as we find them. This kind of stuff will go over most average people's head.. lol The understanding comes when we are open to it.
