Hi everyone,
Wanted to get my feet wet and say hello. I'm a single woman that has had a very long held belief that polygyny is ordained of God. I don't expect to meet anyone here since I'm probably older than what a family would want. I'm unable to express my belief in the practice of polygyny at any local church so i thought i would read the forums and share my views here (I made that mistake once before). Anyways...hi !
 
Hi Moxy, and a warm welcome from sunny Arizona!

I think most of us can relate to the frustration of having others in religious circles blind to this truth.

This is a great place to meet others who do "get it" and be able to talk about this belief that is close to the heart.

I see many couples and families looking that are in our age group, and I hope your not calling 40's old, that would really be a shock, given that my hubby calls me a young lady! *grin*

Any of us can have doubts about the kind of person/people who would be interested in us, many in their 40's don't want a family with young children, but ultimately we just need to trust God knows, and can bring the right people together.

I hope you enjoy your journey, and make friends on the way!

Also, let me or FollowingHim know if you have any issues or questions! So if poly is stigmatized in your area, how did you come to a belief in it's scriptural validity may I ask?

LMBO. You gave me a chuckle and i really needed that. Sorry folks...I didn't want to make anyone feel their age :) I look forward to chiming in on the forums when i have time. And ZecAustin...that is a big word...i will have to google it to see what vociferously means. Haha.

Also, +3 internet points for awarded to Zec for his use of "vociferously". That "word a day" calendar is really paying off huh? That makes me very gruntled.
 
Welcome Moxy. I just joined a few days ago and haven't been brave enough to do my intro yet. I know how you feel. I feel so alone not having a supportive church family. I will be 40 in September. Hopefully I make it to ladies chat this week and get to say hi to everyone. Do you have children? My husband and I have 7 total.
