The first church of the internet

If you look at the jokes the guy is pro poly. He is convinced monogamy only does not work. He expresses the same idea I've seen here... mono only equals communist market for women

He is opposed to interracial marriage, claiming it violates the 7th commandment (adultery). He appears to believe that Deut 32:8 supports the idea that all the races were put on separate continents to keep them from intermarrying.

Because I do not think interracial marriage (among non-jews) violates scripture, and because I am in an interracial marriage myself, it causes me to doubt anything else he says.

I think a large percentage of the world is Israelite. Some people when they realize they could be or are a descendant of Israel try to go back under the covenant that was broken and replaced.

YHWH did forbid intermarriage with some peoples and He also said why. I don't see that prohibition carried forward under the renewed covenant, but rather see believers counselled to be equally yolked and not to marry unbelievers.

With no instruction for segregation accompanying the great commission I don't see how anyone can claim grounds to condemn anyone for marrying someone from a different family of the earth. I see it as a matter for each to sort out to their own satisfaction of conscience.
There are scriptures though that say that Israel would be sown throughout the earth, and that their descendants would inherit the nations. These make me believe that YHWH purposed some mixing of families. The verses that say that all are one in Christ didn't mention any exceptions.

All this to say that I don't call myself a member of that site's "church" or believe everything that is presented there.....but I try not to throw out bits of gold when I dump the rocks in the goldpan.

Well stated @Joleneakamama . A further point is that we know every tribe tongue and nation will be represented before the Throne... YHVH's concern with intermarriage had nothing to do with skin tone and everything to do with mixing His instructions with abominable practices and idolatry.

@Jeff Ray , walk in peace and may you and your family be blessed by the Most High!

I agree @Joleneakamama. There's a lot of deep study on that site. Much is thought-provoking, some is certainly correct, some is certainly wrong, and much is debatable. But it's worth reading IF you can do so with discernment (and if you're not some modern infantile 'adult' who gets "triggered" and goes nuts whenever they read something they don't like...). I too completely disagree with the interracial marriage thing - yet he's got good points in other areas.

I like this analysis of marriage from a joke book. Basically, when people write jokes they are often more honest than when they are speaking plainly, because they can say what they really think but get away with it because "it's just a joke". So he goes through what modern society says marriage is like, using a joke book. Very interesting.
