I'm a Reformed Baptist, and not generally Torah observant, but I still tend to think it generally applies. I lean toward taking OT Law more seriously than most modern Christians. Patriarchy seems to be a universal principle in the Bible.

I don't believe father has veto authority over her marriage because marriage itself is established by sex and therefore isn't oath or promise, so there is nothing to "undo".
