They don’t see King Jesus as their master. If Jesus was their master - they’d put him first - over anything the world thinks of them. There’s power in the name of Jesus. There’s power in his mighty words - which cuts sharper than a double edged knife. If a man builds his rock on that foundation - then who can stand against him?
People walk into these churches - say a sinner’s prayer - and think they are saved. They may be saved - I don’t know - but many don’t come out showing fruit of the Holy Spirit that is evidence of someone being reborn.
Perhaps they haven’t properly heard the word of God - repented - and come to the knowledge that Lord Jesus is the only way. Only through faith in Lord Jesus. His own righteousness and his own gift to have his precious blood wash us clean of our sins, and be reborn of the Holy Spirit. Without his precious blood washing us clean - we’d be paying off all debts to God in prison. And the parable from Christ mentions not getting out until the last penny has been paid. We have the story of the rich man and Lazarus to give us a visual of this place.
