Embracing the "whole counsel" of God!

Good theology is about balance. When studying any given doctrine, all passages must be carefully reviewed and compared. Most false doctrines throughout history have been a result of people not taking the time to look at all the passages on a given subject. False teachers have a tendency to only give Scriptures that back one side of an argument. This is why on the surface many false doctrines are not recognized by casual Bible readers as false doctrine. They see Scriptures are being used, but they don't realize that there are many other Scriptures on the same topic that are are simply being ignored.

Remember, Apostle Paul told the Ephesian Elders that "I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God". Faithful Bible teachers teach the whole counsel of God!!

Since God wrote the Bible, He has set up what He thinks is important for humans to understand. Carrying this idea to its logical conclusion, we should emphasize what God emphasizes in our lives. I encourage everyone to emphasize what God emphasizes in your life, it will change your life. Too many times we believers go on all kinds of theological rabbit trails - and they do have their place. However, they are not to ever replace the emphasis that God has already made clear. For example, what doctrine is taught more than any other doctrine in Scripture?
