Meat On Scriptural Authority - Bereshiet, "in the Beginning"

Some here might find this of interest, on the regular Torah portion for this week, "Bereshiet" (Genesis 1:1 through 6:8) and specifically the nature of 'authority'.

But the theme that must stand out “at such a time as this” is Authority. Real, and that which is “God-given,” and that which has been abdicated, usurped, and stolen.

I so agree. Which is why I attribute Authority to people of good character who demonstrate credibility. And just because someone has a title doesn't mean they have credibility or authority.
