The Truth, The Rock, and The Water.

Three things, all connected.

A brother made the observation that "for them [women] Truth is relative not absolute and very subjective, it is in there nature therefore easy to manipulate" and another brother commented "Interesting...never considered the logic v emotional being an absolute v relative deal".

Upon meditating on this, I had a few reflections that I thought would be appropriate to share here.

The Truth

The Truth is the will, order, reality, way, and word of our creator. Yeshua is the The Truth made flesh. The Truth is unchanging, unshakable, incorruptible, and pure. It is the foundation of our trust and the manifestation of our faithfulness. The Truth is The Rock.

The Rock

I perceive that The Rock is a physical metaphor for The Truth. This is what we are told to build our houses on. The Rock of The Truth in which our Messiah embodies and reveals. He revealed this on The Rock of Mount Sinai. He was The Rock that followed Israel in the wilderness. He is The Rock that comes from heaven to destroy the feet of the statue in Daniel's vision. He illuminated The Truth on The Rock when he preached to His lost sheep. He manifested it's glory when He met with Moshe and Eliyahu on The Rock. And he laid down his life on The Rock where he was crucified. The Messiah, The Truth, is The Rock of our salvation. Nothing can overcome The Rock, but rather has to bend to it's ways. In particular, it is The Living Water that changes it's form and direction according to The Rock in which it springs forth.

The Living Water

I perceive that The Living Water is a physical metaphor for life that springs forth from The Rock, as it did in the wilderness. It is the behavior, the emotions, and the will that moves us. If The Living Water we drink is of the well of our Messiah, then our thoughts, emotions, desires, and actions will be that which flows from The Rock. But if we draw from a different well, then our thoughts, emotions, desires, and actions will be that which flows from ourselves and against The Rock. If we draw from our own wells, we will find ourselves serving ourselves and flowing past The Rock into our own destruction. But if we draw from the well of Messiah, we will find that we are serving our King of Kings.

The Relationship

We are creatures created with desires and emotions. This capacity was given to us so that our desires and emotions would serve the one who created us. The problem is, most let their desires and emotions be their rock. From this rock flows their own truth, that which does not match The Truth. The order is reversed. Their truth is relative to them and changing with the ebs and flows of their emotions/desires. Like water, it changes it's form based on it's environment or container. But The Truth is objective. Unchanging and immovable, as The Rock is. It is The Truth, The Rock, that a person's desires and emotions should flow from. The water that flows from us should bring cleansing and life to those around us. It is only The Living Water of Messiah that can do this. The water that flows from ourselves produces selfishness, dishonesty, and pride. With it we find excuses and justifications for how we live, though that is only doing what is right in our own eyes.

Women are more consistently subject to their emotions. Their reality changes as their emotions change. To them truth is relative. Like the water that changes form to fit it's container, a woman's perception of truth changes as her emotions/desires change. This is why they were created to be ruled by a man. For man was created for dominion, and woman to be his helper. As we men take dominion of our women, we begin to be their rock. A rock in which our water flows. This emotionally centered creature begins to be an outpouring of us. This is an image of Messiah and his bride.

Very well said.
