Far too often, men's supposed Godly life stands in opposition to God's redemption. A prostitute comes to salvation and desires to live a righteous life. She desires that godliness afforded her through salvation by Jesus Christ yet she has the normal human desires of a woman. Like men she is torn between living a life in integrity and that darned sexual drive (or maybe other forces)that lead her in the past to prostitution.
(In similar fashion, many men have condemned their own sexual drive and live in guilt, but I digress...)
The very same thing can be said of women that have no outlet for their desires. Specifically the former prostitute is shunned whenever she mentions to a possible suitor of her past. What a terrible thing to be done to her by God following men who shun a former prostitute. "Some body else will care for her but not me!"
How can men of sound character start to change that paradigm of false compassion? Can you love a former whore with a righteous love? Who will help give the healing to her of a godly life and appropriate sexual contact? Like Rahab, she just may be the mother of someone that could change the course of history.
