General Where to start the search

My wife & I have been in the “monogamy only” mindset for almost our entire lives until we both read through the entire bible. Long story short, many bibles studies, prayers, & blessings later, I decided I’m open to taking another wife & my wife of 8 years has been absolutely supportive about this.

The issue is, I have no idea how to go about it. Many good Christian women are still very much in an anti polygyny mindset. All in God’s timing but any advice on how to begin or what to look out for would be great!

Stick around and learn from those that have walked the walk and those that have at least learned to talk the talk. :p

My best advice is to prepare yourself, your household and your finances. After you are set, you will be much more attractive to those that would otherwise demand monogamy. A man on his grind who has a plan is very attractive to a lady interested in forming a family.

Welcome - you're at a good age for a 2nd. My advice - most women have been fed lies from the pulpit and culture from their youth. So if you start with polygyny right off the gates - you're not going to get anywhere. It should be natural - and after attraction is built up - then start planting the seed. Be prepared to know the Word really well, so you can answer confidently all her questions/concerns (which I'm sure she'll have).

No problem - a husband - imo - is also a father figure for these women. Which is what many young women - in particular to those that are willing to accept the truth (they are teachable/meek) - really need. So washing her clean with what the Word of God actually says is an example of love. Many have failed today - church leaders - fathers - and the fruit of that failure is there for all to see.
 
Hi Tony, welcome to Biblical Families and to a rather unique place in understanding the Bible. Once you actually see polygyny in the Bible you can't un-see it; it permeates the biblical record.

As to your inquiry, survival is your first priority. Become skilled in defending the truth of God's Word regarding this and every aspect of marriage and family. Be prepared to face the initial backlash from "christian friends" and family. Once they see they have no solid biblical support for their beliefs they'll leave you alone. But watch out for your wife because those same people will do their utmost to get her to divorce you. If they follow the usual practices many of us have had to deal with, they'll tell her you are already "emotionally cheating" on her and you're an evil monster. I can tell you from first hand experience the battles wives face can be shocking. How manipulative and deceitful your wife's "friends" might become is an eye-opener. So, prep for survival and then you'll be in a good place for God to bless you with any additional wives He might bring your way. Shalom

Fredrick is not over stating this in any way. My own wife's friends tried their best to get her to divorce me. They counseled her on how to extract money from me via divorce. They assured her that she would not lose the children. They offered their own homes as a refuge without ever consulting their own husbands for permission. Further confirmation of how out of order their own homes are.

WHY?

Because they are defending the feminist position of authority in society today. "Monogamy only" is a construct of evil. It thwarts a man's ability to build his household as he sees fit. The legal system around "MO" has emasculated men and placed their wife over them.

Yes, it's quite shocking to see how this subject brings out the worst in people. So much hatred for something the Creator never even calls a sin. Yet, whoredom, which the Creator calls evil, is socially acceptable. So are sins such as cross-dressing and homosexuality. Cross-dressing is an abomination - absolutely disgusting -

His feminist wife thinks it's attractive, and confident. This is the wicked world we live in - where everything has been perverted - and the church no longer knows the Messiah. If the Messiah shows up today - he would be considered an alien threat to the majority of people (christians included). People prefer darkness over light:

John 3:19
And the judgment is based on this fact: God’s light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil.

People love to quote this Scripture. But they have no idea how God defines light and darkness:

Isaiah 8:20
To the law (Torah/Instructions) and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, they have no light.
