Woa, this is pretty awesome actually... Its pretty darn close. There's a few things I would maybe tweak to get my personal standpoints across better, but that pretty much nailed it. Ill try to get those thoughts out soon. I took the Arborist business pretty much full-time, so I'm a little low on time lately. Thanks for doing this!!
Here is a tree that I ran across yesterday that I feel perfectly illustrates polygyny practiced in equality. One older wife and two newer ones.
The fact that failure is in the future seems undeniable, although the main trunk (husband) appears to be positioned to survive.

The wives being smaller than the husband trunk I see as the man already having lived part of his life before the wife/wives are grafted in.
The fact that they want to come off of the root asserts their independence of the trunk, but not his root system.

Yes, you get it! This is a perfect example of "co-dominance" (literally the term in arboriculture). This tree is doomed for eventual failure, and even if the main trunk survives, he will be forever maimed by the fact that he did not maintain dominance (by way of an open wound/tear out).
If the tree had grown in an "excurrent" manner, maintaining proper dominance by giving strength and structure to "scaffold branches", it would stand the test of time.
On a non-metaphorical note: this might have been a stress response to girdling roots, considering the fact that dirt is mounded up around the base. I would recommend an arborist take a look at it

Hold that thought, I think there might be a metaphor here after all- the codominant nature of this organism (egalitarianism in the family structure) likely came about because of a compromised (girdled) root system of the dominant stem (failing to be properly grounded in the Word)...On a non-metaphorical note: this might have been a stress response to girdling roots, considering the fact that dirt is mounded up around the base.
