Dennis Prager's first public speech since paralysis

Last week Dennis Prager appeared onstage for the first time in two years, since he was paralyzed from the neck down.

Are my wife and I the last people to know? Or did the family just keep it kind of quiet? I was keenly aware that Prager content was not appearing in my feed, but did not realize there was a reason for this fact.

Prager has overcome the need for a ventilator, which apparently he had been told he would need forever.

It's a good speech, if kind of difficult to watch. You can easily speed him up to x1.85 at least since he talks so slow now.

I am on their mailing list and have been receiving updates regarding his health issues for a while. They've been very open about how he is doing. It is difficult to see such a vibrant man not be that way anymore but amazing to see how he is overcome so much. I wonder if this incident might actually bring him to Christ?

I used to listen to him often on the radio. I’ve known for a while. It’s rather tragic. I think he fell off a chair, ladder or something like that. Anyone remember?

He says in this video that he slipped getting out of the shower. He said he was in a hurry, acting in haste. He was excited to try out a new razor, and he stepped out onto a polished wood floor with the shower going in order to retrieve this item, and it was thoughtless. He makes note of how such a minor, seemingly trivial oversight could change his entire life. He came down on the side of the tub with this neck or spine. He would have suffocated if his wife hadn't heard him fall. He was expected to be on a ventilator the rest of his life but he has overcome that limitation now.
