Hello everyone!

Over the past couple of years, God has been leading me in a journey of understanding the bible in continuously deeper layers: especially this year when I started a bible-in-a-year reading plan. The more I studied the old testament, the whole Polygyny issue kept smacking me in the face. Some just wasn't adding up between the old testament and the supposed "new testament ways" of viewing marriage.

Researching what the bible actually says on these matters has been mind blowing. The bible says so much about sex and marriage, but I feel like I hadn't really understood it all until now. God is revealing so much to me these days, and I pray he continues to do so.

And now, through much bible reading, prayer, and fasting, I have begun to sense the direction into Polygyny. My wife is not yet quite at the place where I am with it all, but she is very gracious, intelligent, and understanding. I pray he knits us closer together with all of this.

We were friends in youth group together, fell in love, and got married when she was 19 and I was 22. This year marks 10 wonderful years of marriage to each other. We are the best of friends, and have two incredible, spunky, and beautiful daughters.

Thank you, Biblical Families, for being here as we seek God's face in these matters. Your resources and forums have already proven of great value to our journey in understanding biblical marriage.

God bless you all!

Welcome to this group and to deeper understanding!

The more I have studied the Bible, the more consistency I see between the New and Old Testament on the topic of marriage and relations between men and women. After all, the same LORD inspired both.

I'm glad to hear it.

A lot of us have sensed that, but be careful.

Your post yesterday sounds like she has a way to go.

It sounds like you have a really good thing going. Be really careful that you don't unnecessarily hurt this dear woman. You really don't want to wreck all this in your pursuit of polygyny.
God bless you all!
May the Lord also bless you, your wife, and your children.
